Nomad Sport case in Lunar Gray first impressions.

Pros:
-Slim
-Best buttons I’ve ever used
-6 ft drop protection
-Magsafe
-NFC feature to share info built in via Popl app

Cons:
-Not very grippy although better than I thought. Back is great, which I thought would be the issue, it’s more the sides of the case.
-Fingerprint magnet but Lunar Gray hides it well
-Bottom cutout not too pinky friendly

Overall it’s a keeper and I’m enjoying it. These metallic buttons are fantastic…better than the Apple ones I had on my old iPhone 11 Pro which I didn’t think could be beat.

Currently on a spring sale for 20% off on Nomad’s site. ($32 plus $7 for shipping).

This may be a little off topic I apologize. I see that you have a silver Pro. I was just wondering how is the stainless steel holding up in your opinion? The steel sides and the rings around the camera modules. I’m assuming you’ve had this phone for a while. Thanks.

I’ve actually only had it since January. My previous phone was a graphite 12 PM which held up great. I would say this is as good, however, I had an open bottom leather case that it was in since I got it and I can see some micro scratches on the bottom that was exposed. Pretty good overall tho and camera modules are fine so far. *knocks on wood*

Thanks. I also have a graphite 12 PM and am thinking of going with silver when I upgrade. But I read somewhere how the silver scratches more easily.

My girlfriend has a silver 13 pro since launch and so far no scratches. But she uses a case 24/7.

Am probably going to pick up this case for my 13 PM as well. I have the Apple leather case right now and just the other day took the phone out of my pocket to sit it on my work desk and it fell face down from maybe 8" or so and landed right on the edge of my desk. It cracked my Zagg screen protector but thankfully the screen itself was fine. It was enough to cause me to want something more protective for those times I will be doing anything other than casual activities.

What is your lens protector? I have the Whitestone Dome lens protector but haven't put it on yet.

In its case.
I've had my iPhone 13 for only a couple of weeks, so it is in a $10 mall case for now. I thought about going caseless, but decided to get a protective one. I received a Supcase Unicorn Beetle case for my Watch series 5 a couple or three weeks ago, so based on its quality I'm getting a Supcase Unicorn Beetle case for the fone.

What would you guys recommend for a protective case with good grip that also slim-ish. Tried the cadaube sheath. But it’s not for me. Otterbox is just very ugly. Now looking at maybe a Nomad or Mous? Any other tips? Maybe the apple silicon or leather? Guess the leather is the better investment since, as I understand, the silicon is not that durable.

What didn’t you like about the Caudabe Sheath? Just out of curiosity.

TBH it just felt a bit cheap. Like a Spigen or Ringke. Also didn’t had the idea that it would withstand a good drop.

Have you tried the Caudabe synthesis? its my favourite so far out of all my cases. Slim, protective, good grip, easy to press buttons, MagSafe, looks good and affordable. Checks all the boxes for me.

It is the Whitestone Dome camera protector. It's just an aluminum slab that goes around the cameras and does not cover the lenes. I just like to looks of it.
