In anticipation of receiving an iPhone 13 in about a week, I have begun looking at cases to protect it.

This year, I didn't have to do any extensive research. I bought an incredibly sufficient case last year and I simply looked on Amazon to see if the manufacturer was offering a variant for the new phone.

This case worked out beautifully for my iPhone 12. It's slim, highly protective and has a nice grip to it. No yellowing after a year of use. It also shows off the color of your phone. Best of all, there is no excessive branding across the case (which many manufacturers do).

If you simply put the manufacturer's name (TORRAS) in the Amazon search field, you'll see other alternatives of this case that are available.

Ditching the Apple cases after dropping my phone and getting an impact on the side of the screen. Thankfully the screen protector did it's job and was destroyed. After that I favour more protective cases.

I have a Benks MagSafe compatible one on the way but have ordered a cheap Ringke Onyx rugged case to tide me over when the phone comes. Also like the look of the Spigen Neo Hybrid MagSafe Compatible coming soon.

Probably unpopular opinion material but screen protectors are the biggest scam in regards to drop protection. They’ll keep your screen brand new for the next person that owns it but I have to chuckle when it’s like “the screen protector shattered but my screen was okay! Screen protector to the rescue!”. More like they make them fragile so you buy more every time your drop your phone.

My wife and I have been going bare screen ever since we’ve been together (seven years) and between the two of us, there’s been one cracked screen and that was when it slipped off my lap and I kicked it into an iron box trying to save it from hitting the ground.

I didn’t like the Aneu from last year because of price, being an slim Otterbox, and the worst part was the saggy bottom lip.

The new version appears to have a revised bottom lip that might not sag. The texture and grip also appear to be different.

I still haven’t dropped my $50 to find out yet

I have never worried about breaking my screen. It’s the micro scratches that can appear in the coating that drive me crazy. There are also inexpensive screen protectors that feel more smooth than the regular screen

In the pictures it shows the MagSafe circle on the back- that cannot be correct, can it? It Hass to just be to show that it’s MagSafe compatible, right? Otherwise it looks so ridiculous in my opinion

I think it’s going to be…look at my circle MagSafe like the clear cases.

Also I think the whole thing might be TPU this year without the semi hard back. So seeing the circle might prevent the etching that the circle does on the leather and silicone cases.

That is why I am waiting for it to appear on Verizon so I can use my discount😉. Only reason why I am buying apple cases, I try to purchase everything not retail lol

Not sure about that, dropped a XS max onto a wooden draw, it hit the edge with a screen protector and a sheath on it, chipped the side of the GSP as the case came away a bit, sheath is flimsy, no guarantee but I reckon it would of chipped the screen with no GSP.
Sand is what I worry about scratching as I live near beach and surf.
