While I'm a believer in the Otterbox Defender series, for my iPhone 13 Pro Max I got the MagSafe "sleeve" in Baltic Blue. I like to use my phone caseless and with no glass screen protector, and the sleeve allows me to do that. In my line of work (electrical construction), any iPhone with no protection at all would be destroyed in one day. I had my iPhone 11 and my iPhone 13 Pro Max both in the Defender, but I found myself removing the case whenever not working and putting it back on when going to work. The sleeve allows me to use the 13 Pro Max naked all the time, even in the workplace, while protecting it from scratches when it's in my pocket. When I'm off, I don't even use the sleeve when out, I leave it home. Also, I can just drop my phone on the MagSafe charger every night (without the sleeve) and trust that it will work.

One caveat: the case was designed for the iPhone 12--the extra MagSafe features don't seem to work with the iPhone13--but it's compatible as far as the fit is concerned; I didn't get it so the display would turn a different color around the clock, rather I just got it for basic protection.

I modified one of my Casetify cases to have the backing foam of the Otterbox defender pro. It’s not too pretty on the inside, but it is very functional. Now the back glass has extra padding.
I have another one of this exact case without the padding as well.

I have the white one as I’ve said earlier in the thread and I love it just as much as you do. Loving the mountain green Sheath too. I really enjoy all things Phone Rebel; try their glass screen protectors if you haven’t.
Having no notch cutout (iPhone 13 pro), do their screen protectors have NO effect on the function of the phone?
At all?

It does but nobody is going to tell you that they do have an effect lol. Some is imperceptible to some people (auto-brightness not working correctly as before, proximity sensor, etc) but one area is the front camera. Adding another layer for a camera to see through will impact photo quality.

Surprisingly Face ID is perfect with those types of protectors though. I guess if it can read your face through a smudgy fingerprint it would work through glass.

Looks great man. I may need to pick one up. :)

Side note: Looking for a car mount that will be able to handle the fat boy for a road trip. Any ideas?

Thanks folks.
I use a ProClip dashboard mount specific to my vehicle and a Moment MagSafe magnet. It’s a pricey combo but it works very well imo.

What case is this?

Abyss Blue vs Blue Jay, both really nice colours.

I do not (yet) have Blue Fog but its definitely something to look out for if they’ll release a final blue Silicone case for the 13 Pro as part of the summer refresh

I had the Blue Jay, but if you do decide to get the Blue Fog, I think you'll love it on the Sierra Blue. Looks incredible.

So I've been a bit puzzled by all gushing over Phone Rebel Gen 3, in part because I find the frosted case so slippery. I just got the crystal version to compare, and it is so much easier to hold. The glossy black TPU is grippier than the matte TPU on the frosted series. The clear back is also grippier than the frosted.

If anyone was not a fan of the frosted series, the crystal is significantly better, IMO.
