I usually get 5-6 each year. And end up only using 1-2 regularly 😂

Yes I saw that and I’m not a fan! Why did they have to change it? Now whenever you look at the screen you can see the trim of the stainless steel band 😡

The Apple cases were like that last year, too. When dropped or put into pant pockets, one corner of the phone used to pop out. For example, on mine, the top left would pop out, which would toggle the ring/silent switch to silent. I'm hoping Apple made the cases a little tighter this year.

Mine never did that last year. Maybe I was lucky. I had 4 different apple cases.

So far I have the ESR metal kickstand case and ESR screen protector. Have a MagSafe caudabe sheath preordered and deciding on Apple case. Figure I might grab a MagSafe wallet during in-store pickup and I can slap it on when needed.

It’s mostly black under most lighting. Very rarely I see a very dark blue hue.

Apple Baltic Blue, Black Silicone. Then a few super thin cases by Casekoo.
Saddle Brown Apple leather, then darn bourbon Bullstrap MagSafe which I used maybe once!? Ugh

Not sure if I can get anything for the Apple cases, maybe some $ for this Bullstrap?

Sticking with ONE Sequoia case for now.

I sold all my 12PM apple cases for around 50% of original price this last week via FB marketplace so that reduces the cost for this year a little.

Just ordered the Pelican Protector with MagSafe from Amazon for my 13pm. I’m hopeful, not optimistic, that they fixed their tpu issues and it’s not so flimsy.

if I don’t like it, I’ll just send it back.

I’ve read elsewhere the quality of the official leather cases has gone downhill over the past couple of generations. I‘m still not sold on a case for this phone, but am leaning towards a leather since the silicone case on my 11 can get stuck in my pockets and be a hassle sometimes.

long story short: should I consider the apple leather case or search 3rd party?

People have been saying that for years. I have been buying them for several years and I havent noticed any decline. Since I have been buying htem they added metal for the buttons and now a wrap around the bottom. The leather quality seems as good as it was several years ago. Most problems with them are user generated.

during the pandemic, i wipe down my phone by disinfectant wipes many times a day. can apple leather face endure that? or apple silicone fare better?

I really really hope you like this case and decide to keep it otherwise Mous are very poor with returns and refunds.

Based on this video i would guess Apple Silicone will handle it better than the leather.

I had this case last year and I absolutely did not like it because it was impossible and extremely difficult to get it off the phone so I am not a fan of this case at all and I like OtterBox cases
