They have never been tight, always been able to pull the sides away easily, if that's what you mean? I've seen the case come away in a drop and crack a screen protector on the side edge.

This is by far the tightest version of the Sheath ever and I don’t think it pulls from the sides easy at all, you’re going to have a little give by the buttons but that’s it. Everything else on the case is spot on.
I am not giving up on my Golden Brown 13 PM case. Yesterday I put some Bickmore’s Neatsfoot oil on my Golden Brown leather case. It’s much more soft and supple now and yet also has a bit more grip to it. I like it a lot more. Neatsfoot oil moisturizes, conditions, cleans and says is good for water protection too. Most leather folks love this stuff.
The coating on the leather that Apple put on their leather cases this last year prevents it from getting darker. Normally Neatsfoot would darken this right up. I don’t mind though as I like this color. Anyhow, I also noticed it doesnt get blue jeans debris on it anymore since I applied the Neatsfoot oil. Usually when I pull out of my pocket there’s blue stuck to all the sides. Not anymore. Hopefully this will lengthen the life of this fun case. It looks great and feels extra nice now.

Got my Apple leather case today. Not the midnight one I ordered the same day as I got my phone order in with Telstra, but the golden brown I ordered last Saturday through my banks credit card rewards program.
No visible grain in the leather, but does have more of a leather smell to it, other than the rubber type smell others have described. The inside smells like the box it came in.
I don’t mind the colour, so will give it a run and see how it goes while I wait for the midnight case. Not as bulky as the Spigen ultra hybrid, so I’m happy about that.

Thanks I appreciate it! You know what’s funny is mine did the exact same once I took it off before selling it. Broke right apart. This year it’s been through some changes. The back is solid and aren’t translucent so hopefully the quality has improved as well. Spoke to Caudabe yesterday.

No offense, as obviously that’s a problem, but you clearly got a lemon. You’ve also posted it multiple times across multiple threads, so while I’m sure your intentions are good to let people know, just know that your experience isn’t indicative of Caudabe cases in general.
Not to mention, Caudabe’s customer service has always been top notch for me as well as many other people. I’ve had multiple cases replaced over the years for issues and it’s always no questions asked.
For what it’s worth, I had the Synthesis on my 12 Pro Max for 5 to 6 months with zero issues and I had no hesitation ordering it again for my 13 Pro Max.
That’s crazy about your sheath. Mine have never picked up color from anything or lost color. I’ve always found that material almost impossible to damage.
In person they are too bright crayon green for me. I like the forest green of the 11. They still look good with the blue and GB wallet.

A little slippy but I expect it to get a bit grippier with use. Light, noticeably lighter than the Spigen Mag Armor.
The magsafe magnets are strong, a big plus for me.
The buttons are a bit loose though, like you can hear a rattle when you shake it. A little bit of tape on the backside of the buttons will probs stop that. Edit: Yes it did.
Overall, it's ok. Not worth the wait but I'll use it for now.
I have a Smartish Gripzilla on the way, will see how that it and I still fancy trying the Patika Mageze Case Pro when it is available.

For my iPhone 13 Max I am using standard black Otterbox Symmetry. For my bicycles I have 2 different Spigen Ultra hybrids. I just attached Blender adapter to case that goes on my Trek FX5 and Spigen Gearlock adapter for my Giant Talon 1.

Yeah I have them here, probably get to them next week. Unfortunate because I don't think any of them are MagSafe but I realize everyone doesn't charge via MagSafe.

Honestly id just go with the official apple one if you want to ensure maximum compatibility. Ive been happy with mine.
Its darker and warmer in person than it appears online (in a good way).
