I went with the midnight Apple Leather Case but ended up returning it. The color just wasn’t for me. I have always gone with Apple cases but the color options this year and I disagree. I am now using the Nomad leather case which I am extremely happy with. I feel like I won the leather lottery as there are visible scars on the leather and rough patches which will ultimately lead to a great patina. I went a step further and used a magic eraser to lighten it up and give a more rustic look as the patina process starts. View attachment 1860003 View attachment 1860005

Looks good. Mine is coming today.

I really want the wisteria but I’m afraid it will get nasty and stained.

iPhone Pro Max 13 with Ringke Fusion Magnetic Matte+Clear

Love this case! Originally got the Apple Clear one and it was awful. Thick, slippery and a fingerprint magnet.

The matte background of the Ringke case means no fingerprints while still showing off the pretty phone. Also, the grip is much better because of the matte texture on the back.

Sorry about the pics, they were taken with my vintage iPad 4th Gen 😂
Don't get why this isn't available in the UK yet.

Normally I'd have about 10 cases by now but honestly I'm bored of spending money on a case I then hate, I must spend hundreds every year.

I want the apple silicone blue jay but can't bring myself to spend £50 on a a silicone case which is no doubt a lint/dust magnet.

Caudabe sheath isn't available in any decent colours (IMHO).

I started off with a clear case but didn’t like the fitment of it. The phone moved some in the case. I decided to give the blue jay a go, even though I normally only do leather cases. It doesn’t seem to attract too much lint so far. Granted, I just got it yesterday. The color really is awesome.

There is another one coming which I don't need now so will see how easy it comes apart and let you know :)

See @Midnite8 post

Yeah I ran the Synthesis for months and I took it off to sell my 12 Pro Max, the case split apart.

I’d consider the leather case in golden brown, but I’m really concerned with how the color will show wear. I know the leather accessories have had a thick coating on them since last year, but they still can wear down.
its more orange than it appears online. Go to the store to see for yourself. Theres def a coating that isnt present on the leather from several years ago.

I got the golden brown because i thought it would look closer to sadle Brown than it does California poppy. But last night my fiancé asked me why I had a pumpkin pie colored case on my phone lmao so yeah it is definitely orange.

I’m using the midnight case right now, and love the feel and slimness of it, but have a feeling I’ll end up keeping the black Nomad instead that’s on its way to me.

I trust the drop protection a whole lot more on the Nomad (had one on my 7 Plus for years). Would’ve considered the brown again as it was lovely on my 7P, but Walmart Canada only has the black for now and I’m okay switching it up this time.

Good to hear you’re happy with the Nomad. How’s the feel and weight compared to the apple leather case?

My 12 pro max last year took a 4 foot fall with the apple leather case and while it didn’t crack, it did pop out one of the corners and dented the Stainless steel corner. so if you drop your phone a lot nomad is definitely the way to go

Yup I temporarily have AppleCare+ coverage until my Nomad gets here. I’ll need the drop protection as I’m in school (and shop class) for aircraft maintenance and will be in “dynamic” environments eventually for work. The apple leather case would be perfect though if I had a desk job and also didn’t go on occasion mountain hikes.

Although I read all of the "warnings" that this year's Caudabe Sheath is thicker and heavier than before, I thought I could handle it. Boy, I was wrong. I've only used it for roughly a day, but I already know it is going to be a problem for me. I promised myself I would only buy one case this year, but I went all-in on the wrong case. So, I went out and bought the Apple leather in Midnight just now and it's an immediate improvement. Even though the width and the height for both cases are the same, the Apple leather is slimmer in the back and so much lighter. Holding both cases in the palm of my hands, the Apple leather feels like it'll fall off with a slight breeze. I think some people like their phones to have some weight, so the Caudabe Sheath is perfect for you. The buttons have slits cut into them, which makes them very tactile. In fact, the buttons on the Sheath are more tactile than the buttons on the Apple leather (my power button on my Apple leather is not as responsive as the volume buttons).

For comparison on the thickness and weight of both cases, I'll share a post from @rstark18: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/caudabes-iphone-13-cases.2310887/post-30380870

I just took off the dbrand skin to apply the following case:

TOZO Compatible for iPhone 13 Pro Case 6.1 inch Hard Cover 0.35mm World's Thinnest Protect Shell Semi Transparent Light Weight Thin Cover with Matte Finish Black

Folks, it is gooood. Had the same brand on my 12 Pro and also really liked it. If you’re looking for a super thin case you can’t do much better.

Third Rock From the Sun
Otterbox Defender Pro for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Great slimmed down feel. Improved outer silicone layer with sufficient height at the top and bottom of the home screen on which I have the Zagg invisibleshield glass XTR protector. The entire front lip is ever so slightly textured as are the sides to the back of the case which has the same slight texture framing the backside of the case. Buttons are tactile yet very responsive. They are a little stiff but I have only had it for a little more than a day. The Best Buy location where I pre-ordered my iPhone 13 Pro Max was sold out of this case. Also, it is slim enough to put the encased iPhone 13 Pro Max easily in your pocket.

How are the buttons? Are they mushy at all? I love the apple leather case because they still click and are tactile.
