I’m considering a switch (or backup) to the Silicone MagSafe and really wishing that they had released this Cyprus Green for the 13. This still looks so good on my 12mini after a year (albeit pretty moderate use but still).

Honestly, I love clover more than Cyprus as I had Cyprus for my 12 also. It’s the perfect green.

I am planning to get a Otterbox Defender (non-pro version) for my iPhone 13 pro max but I am a bit worried about finding a screen protector that is compatible with the case. Has anyone paired a spigen screen protector with Otterbox Defender for 13 pro max? Or can suggest a screen protector that's compatible with Defender (for 13 pro max)?

Last Year’s Thread For Reference:

I bought an iPhone 13 PRO in a trade-in deal with Verizon. I quickly realized my older unprotected iPhone 12 PRO had small scratches on the screen. This reduces my trade-in value. It appears the new screens still need screen protectors, regardless of the hype from the marketing folks.

I purchased an amFilm Glass ONETOUCH 2-pack from Amazon.

Just installed the protector using the materials supplied. Very easy installation. See www.techmatte.com/onetouch

A few suggestions to help with the install:
- make sure you wash & dry your hands thoroughly before starting
- make you have a very clean area to work in. No drafts or dusty areas.
- layout all your materials in the order of use.
- watch the video to see how to install the screen protector.
- take your time and carefully follow each step.

Does anyone know if there is a magsafe compatible waterproof case available for any 12 or 13 series phones? I have looked all over and have found nothing. I really need one since I have a magnetic mount in my car and also use my phone when diving.

Sorry I should have been more specific. That one didn't exist last time I checked. I have a 13 mini. It looks like lifeproof made the deliberate decision not to support the mini with waterproof cases this time around. I will need to call them to confirm.

Just setting up my wife's new 13 Red Edition.

I bought her a clear Spigen Crystal case, it has an anti-yellowing formula and really let that beautiful, deep red show through.

I also bought a Spigen Easy Fit screen protector - it comes mounted in a frame that you place the iPhone into, it can't move, so the screen goes on perfectly, no more on again, off again, shift it a bit to the right etc.

I also got the Spigen Crystal for my blue 13 Pro, when it finally comes (delivery is targeted for end of November!).

Also, the Pro case is marked as MagSafe compatible, not sure about the standard one, although wireless charging works fine - I am topping it off now, while I wait for my wife to get home from work.

I’ve found my perfect clear case for my phone! The peel hard case arrived today from the us and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. Minimal, shows off the colour and works fine with MagSafe despite not having magnets. Button Holes are cut out and are flush so not gonna get knocked accidentally.

It looks nice. One thing I am really impressed with, with the Spigen cases is that it protects the camera pod, but it also has little bumps or feet on the other 3 corners, so that it lays flat on the desk, whilst the edges themselves are thin and follow the contours of the phone tightly.

Just received and installed a black Otterbox Defender XT Pro on my Sierra Blue iPhone 13 Pro. Really like this case, besides the high price. Quality on my unit is top notch. Good side grip and overall ergonomics are really solid. Buttons are very very good too, solid and responsive, but not hard to press. This case is probably has the best fit and finish out of any Otterbox case I've purchased in the past two years.

Yes the back doesn't have the grip of the normal Defender, but I prefer that. The normal Defender cases stick in the pockets and seem to collect debris. This doesn't.

Serious question as I have been case-less except for a screen protector for a while now with my iphones but how often would the camera bump be damaged? I got a 13pm and yes the bump is pretty big but I think it is rather hard to scratch it. I am genuinely interested what it would take to scratch it as it seems like a very durable phone all around, except maybe the screen that can get some micro scratches.

I’ve no idea, but it is peace of mind. As a photographer, I know how delicate real lenses are. That said, I’ve never experienced scratched lenses on any of my phones, but I treat them with care…

I do as well but wondering about this as I don't know or met anyone that has ever scratched an iphone camera lens. I guess it you drop it all the time it is possible but I suspect that is that the $99 repair fee is all about outside of the normal $29 for the back/front screen/glass.

I have a very badly scratc Canon camera. We were rebuilding the ground floor of the house and there was grit and sand on the table we were eating on. My wife slid the camera across the table and scratched the display.

she said, “what? It up is just an utility object.” (Gebrauchsgegenstand in German, a basic item to be used, not something decorative)

When she got a dent on her new car, I got my own back, I asked her, what’s the problem, it is just an utility object. 🤣🤣
