Not keen on the screen lip on the Ringke cases. They are raised at the top and bottom but the mid section is flush with the screen if you use a screen protector. Feels great when swiping but no protection in a drop onto an edge of furniture, etc.
I thought I am the only one a bit bothered with their mid flushed design. It’s good concept though as most fall will hit the corner first, but if worst case scenario it hit the mid section (eg corner of the table) it has less protection.

The fusion x camo is really good with its textured sides and back but this mod section flush made me try to look for another case

Got my bumper case in to go with my Nomad skin. The thing is surprisingly heavy and my 13 Pro feels like a tank with it on but damn do I love how it looks. The matte black finish is exactly what I have always wanted on the Pro models.

What do you think of the Moft case? Mine should be delivered today.
It can be better the buttons are really stiff I ended up taking a knife to make slits to make them work better. Also seems like the camera cutout is to big and it's a fingerprint magnet

Thanks! Sounds like mine’s going back. Are you keeping yours?

You've mentioned one of the reasons for that design - swiping. The other is a closer to naked phone grip - those lower side lips give you a little extra reach across the screen, so they're good for smaller hands.

It's a clever design imo, but as you say, if you're after a more protective case for a wider variety of potential drops, then they do increase the risk of screen damage. You'd have to be pretty unlucky though, & I think the design's positives out-weight the negative.

That's the first case i've seen with 'levelling' rear corner flanges. I've hoped more cases had these so you can type on the thing without it rocking.

Good, minimalist design too ??

I have been back and forth to a lot of cases this year already. I have had the followings:

- Nudient transparant case: fine case, finger print magnet. The power button is not clicky and after some time it feels greasy. Missing MagSafe, but can be solved by mounting an HaloLock sticker from ESR on it. A very clear case.
- Nudient Thin V3 Sky Blue: Fine case. Easy to clean. Love the magic how the color changes in daylight. Nice feel. Very thin. Doesn’t really protect the screen, though. And there are no buttons on the case, making the iPhone buttons very difficult to reach.
- ESR Leather Case black: feels like some kind of hard paper with a leather grip. Doesn’t feel premium at all. Can’t compare it with the Apple Leather Case.
- Elago Sillicone case: pure overpriced trash. Feels like the cheap AliExpress TPU cases you could buy for iPhone 4 back in the day. It feels terrible, makes the phone incredibly bulky and it is not a pleasure at all to use it. Collects a lot of dust in no-time.
- Apple Clear Case: a nice case. This is the case I used to own for 12 Pro Max too. But it is still a stiff material thay shows hairline cracks after a while. Breaks after one fall. I decided to not buy it again.
- Apple Sillicone Case (mostly PRODUCTRED): feels nice, not bulky. Easy to use. Shows some glares of fingerprints and oils after a while that is hard to remove. Biggest downside: some parts broke off every year.
- Apple Leather Case (Midnight): great feel. Love the metal buttons. Fits well with the screen. Easy to hold. Has a bit more weight, but for me not a problem. It is too early to tell how it will hold up.

Needless to say, currently I am using the Leather Case on my 13 Pro Max.

I also went with the Smartish Gripzilla Thin Case in clear. Thick enough for protection, but thin enough to fit in my shirt pocket; great texture and subtle finger grooves on the sides; and buttons that are easy to find by touch, and that work. The best case I've owned, to date.

Pictures?

After waiting for 1.5 months, I finally received my windy blue Moft wallet for my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

The magnets are strong and the stitching is nicely done. I love the various orientations that you can prop up the phone, including the landscape “floating” one. Very happy with this!

That’s quite the list. Doesn’t surprise me that you ended up with the Apple leather; they’re amazing. I still end up strayng from that path every year even though I buy one with every phone and this year it’s the bumper with leather skin that pulled me away.

Hi everyone!

I have the Silver 13 Pro Max and I want to showcase the white color of the back, so I am searching for a thin, semi transparent, matte case that provides more grip compared to the ultra thin, hard plastic ones that are way more slippery.

I can only find soft TPU transparent ones that are super shiny, or hard plastic semi-transparent/matte ones.

I have not encountered a single soft-rubbery feel semi transparent/matte one yet and I have searched quite a lot!

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

1. Nomad Modern Leather case
- leather part feels good, however I did not realize the sides are plastic and it really takes away the experience. Did not enjoy holding the phone. Thick and probably very protective. Leather part felt like a skin attached to plastic case. I thought I was buying a leather case. Would not recommend.

2. Casekoo Multiarmor case (Black)
- plastic case that feels premium. Solid, tight fit. Looks nice. Matte frosted back and very smooth feeling sides that adds grip to the phone. Slim even though it doesn't look so from product images. Holding phone with this case on is a joy. Would recommend.

3. Spidercase
- generic transparent case. Not as thin as I would’ve liked. Feels cheap as most transparent cases do... the only exception in my life has been Apple's clear cases. I always get a clear case or two every year and never use them after. Why do I do this to myself? Would I recommend this particular clear case? So-so. If you can afford it just get an Apple clear case if you want a clear case. Alternatively, Caudabe's lucid clear cases are very good quality and I recommend those from previous experience.

4. LOVE 3000 case
- generic silicone case. Feel is smooth enough and adds grip. My husband hated it though. He says it’s too grippy and makes it hard to pull the phone out of pockets. Also, color is more muted and grim than what was shown on product images. I ordered light blue and the color is more like lavender gray with blue tone. Would I recommend? So-so. Silicone cases always get a bit gross after a while of using.

5. Andar Aspen case
- quality leather case. Fit is perfect. When new the case has an overwhelming smell of leather. Slippery at first but will become grippier with use. I can already tell this will patina nicely. I personally think it’s better than Apple leather cases. I used to use Apple leather case or two every iPhone purchase but felt quality was declining and decided to shop elsewhere this year. Has an open bottom so if you’re not into that, be aware. I didn't buy an Apple leather case this year so not sure how that compares to this, but based on my years of using Apple leather on previous phones, Andar leather is thicker than Apple leather. Just a note. Would totally recommend for any leather case fans.

— pending cases

6. (Pending) Bullstrap case
- price tag is a bit high ($79) but if you like leather cases these seem like top quality stuff, waiting for it to ship. Andar case comes faster. Andar has metal ring around camera so if you are not into that, this case is full leather.

7. (Pending) Andantannerie Buttero case
- leather case from a Korean tannery. Shipped and just waiting to receive it. Reviews seem good. Has a lot of choices for the type of leather. As a side note I got Olmo case from here for my Android device that will be coming with my Buttero case. Pretty excited to get my hands on these.

Ultimately I am using Andar case as my main (probably will alternate between the three cases when the two pending cases arrive. I tend to either use my phone caseless or switch cases frequently when the mood strikes), my husband loves Casekoo (he doesn’t like leather cases unfortunately). I think I’m going to avoid Nomad in future iPhone case purchases unless they change it from partially leather + plastic to full leather.

I want to add here that Caudabe Sheathe is a pretty good case with matte, textured grippy feels with very good fit. Slim and lightweight while protective. Covers all sides. I used it for iPhone 12 Pro time to time. Caudabe makes good cases.
