Another AliExpress bargain. I find they’re great for minimalist cases like this. I like that bottom cutout style too - less blockage of the speaker/mic compared to designs that have individual round holes per grill. More margin for error with this open design too, if it wasn’t aligned.

After trying 3 different Apple leather cases and exchanging them for different reasons (all quality issues) I ended up just getting a refund and accepting that the quality had taken a big nose dive.

Ended up getting a £25 Amazon voucher for Xmas and combined with Amazon selling Apple silicone cases for £39.99 so gave a Midnight case a go, so far so good but the colour is a little ‘boring’ so may swap it for a Product Red….

Funny you posted this when you did. I was just popping In to say I’d ditched the Nomad and gone back to my Midnight Apple case. S’niiice. *chef’s kiss*

I have a product red Apple silicone case for my graphite 13 pro. A bold combination! Might have to use that combo this week.

So are your corners of the 13 pro silicon case already quote worn out? Mine has been shiny since a month of use. Should I contact Apple? Or get a leather case?

Leather or silicone? My last leather one was Midnight and it was nice but the quality was just not good. 5 days in to silicone use and no complaints, though do find myself missing that premium feel of a (good) leather case.

They do look ? in the Apple store, I’ll see how I feel later as currently digging the stealth vibe of the Midnight silicone.

Leather. The quality is not quite as good as Nomad but I prefer the fit and finish of the Apple case hands down. We'll see how my second attempt with Andar goes tomorrow; the first time I was not happy.

Another overlooked fantastic case is the Ringke Onyx. IMO just as good as the Sheath if not a little better and much cheaper. No Magsafe magnets but Magsafe works just fine with this thin case. The fit, feel, finish, buttons, grip ETC are just perfect on this case. Here are a couple pics:

Just got my Nomad Sport Case and I'm pretty disappointed. I love the look but it has a sharp lip around the entire back of the frame where the TPU connects to the back plate. It just doesn't feel good in hand compared to my other cases.

Worse yet, the fit isn't great - the sides bow out slightly (made evident by the stainless steel frame showing thats otherwise covered) and the power button feels odd. Almost like it's too clicky, as if the button is thicker than it needs to be. Pressing on the case frame near the power button causes it to click.

Maybe I got a bad one, but I found a review also mentioning the same sharp edge and that Nomad is updating their tooling to fix it, but that was from October.

I always buy the cheap JEtech clear TPU cases. You have to throw them in the trash every 9 months because they go brown but they're really well designed. Decent sized lips over screen edges and camera bump, decent thickness and good fit. I don't butt clench when I drop my phones in those cases.

I did have a Capri Blue genuine Apple case for my 12 but the thing attracted unholy amounts of bees which is no good when you're out hiking.

Thanks for this. Was thinking of picking one up off of Amazon. So what is your final verdict on the UAG case?

I love the UAG Monarch but haven't been using it much. I have the Metropolis LT with Magsafe and another Mous 4.0 fidget spinner coming later this week. Might order a Sheath and that's about it for me. The Ringke Onyx is definitely a decent case that I use all the time. I paid $10. but think it's up to like $12. the last time I looked. Have you purchased any cases yet?

All I have at the moment is the Apple Midnight leather. Still debating on which case to get in addition to that. I've had my eye on the UAG and Nomad, but still undecided.

The clever thing I like about this one are the rear corner bumps. They prevent camera bump rocking when placed on a table (at least I hope they do - if they match the depth of the camera). They’ve designed them in a unique & stylish way too.

Although, no MagSafe’s a deal breaker as I have plans to purchase a stand/holder for the Apple MagSafe puck & the weak hold from a MagSafe-free case won’t cut it.

FYI, the bumps on the back of the Onyx keep it from rocking AS MUCH as other cases, but it doesn’t lay completely flat. The camera bump and protective rim needed around it are just too thick. If they made the bumps big enough to counteract the camera bump, it would look ridiculous.

I do agree it’s one of the best cases for the 13 Pro Max, even without MagSafe (which, as was pointed out, works just fine for charging).

Mous "Fidget Spinner" 4.0 in today. Still slightly bowed but not as bad as past Mous banana boat cases. Slippery as a wet bar of soap and the back is still a chicken grease fingerprint magnet. The symmetrical cutouts drive me a little insane. The fit is tight and the looks are fantastic. Guess that's why I keep buying these things. Here are a couple quick pics:

Got the same case and totally agree. They need to add more grip and then it would be a great case!

I usually buy lots of cases for my iPhones but this year I've stuck with only one, the Apple leather in Sequoia Green since launch day on my 13 Pro Max. It's gotten some scuffs but still look alright and it's darkened quite a bit but you can still tell it's green color in daylight. For my 12 Pro Max I have more than 15 cases in either leather, silicon, TPU, aramid or plastic.

The thing that annoys me with the Apple leather case lately it is that the phone slides just a little out of the case in the bottom corner sometimes when I take it out of my pocket and that is a moment where I can easily have it fall out of my hand. It's just not a snug enough fit and I've read others having the same complaint. So I'm looking to buy some new cases for rotation.

First I'm wondering is how the Nomad Modern Leather Case for the 13's are this year. I've read som contradicting posts on here with some saying it has improved buttons and a more pinky friendly bottom than the previous itterations but then others say that's not true and it's still a bit flawed. So I'm not sure who to trust. I would like a leather case in the same design as the Apple one with leather both on the sides and back but with a little more protection. But it seems that most leather cases that add more protection have different materials as TPU on the sides and only leather on the backside from what I have found when browsing cases from Nomad, Mous, Otterbox, Rhinoshield etc.

I also remembered really enjoying the first version of the Phone Rebel case with the open sides I had on my iPhone 11 Pro Max and saw that the Flex case was in stock for iPhone 13 Pro Max so I just put in an order. It's meant as something different to put on my phone when I don't feel like rocking leather which I prefer 9 out of 10 times when it comes to iPhone cases. Only hope that EAP as kept up the quality I encountered in the first itteration of this case, I never ordered one for the iPhone 12 since the case with the open sides never seemed to be in stock when I was browsing.

Yea, but I have not taken any night time pictures. I'll give it a test tonight.
I like that it's just a nice flat surface, easy to wipe off instead of trying to clean in between the lenes.

Is it the flash giving you problems at night?

Hey, i am looking for a nice black leather Magsafe case for 13 Mini, not Midnight, i want something more into black
I might consider official Apple leather magsafe case in Midnight, but if you have any other suggestion, it would be appreciated
Thanks

I have to zoom out and in for camera to focus properly. And flash too.
