My Speck is out for delivery. Probably won’t get much use until we get some snow or I get out on the mountain in February but the last leather case I boarded with ended up pretty water-logged.

I also have a FLOLAB screen protector out for delivery. I’ve had a cheaper glass one on for a while and I really like it; figured I might as well splurge to get a nice one that I won’t feel when I swipe.

The Speck is anti yellowing?

What’s up everyone… I was just thinking, what does everyone do with cases for their phone when they upgrade?? I didn’t upgrade to the 14 pro max this year but I’m just thinking when it’s time that I do, I’m going to have a boat load of cases left from my iPhone 13 Pro Max… any ideas on what you guys do with them? Thanks! I asked this in the 13 series thread but it’s kind of a ghost town lol
eBay!

I’m after a proper black silicone case with MagSafe that’s as similar to apple version as possible. For 14 pro. Any suggestions? Thanks

So I have the iPhone 14 Pro on order, and it's expected to arrive by mid-December.

I want to have any accessories I will use with it brought by the time it arrives, the important one being a good case.

I'm upgrading from an iPhone 7 with a otterbox defender case, I'm considering this case again, but it does add a good bit of additional bulk to the iPhone 7.

From what I can see online, the 14 version does seem slimmer but still adds a good bit of bulk, so I thought I'd ask here to see if what alternative case could be recommended?

I'm a bit prone to dropping my phone, so I'm looking for a good strong case. I've had my iPhone 7 since it came out in 2016, and it wouldn't have lasted so long if it wasn't for the otterbox case it was in.

While it’s not silicone, it feels like it. Strongest MagSafe and best buttons I’ve experienced in a case.

I’ve bought incipio, tech21, dbrand grip, otterbox, speck and many others over the years. This benks is the best case I’ve ever bought. It’s slim, very strong MagSafe, fantastic buttons and has a smooth silicone feel. It’s also very sturdy and solid. Not flimsy at all.

I went for a Spigen tough armor case and the spigen ez-fit (tempered glass) screen protector this time around. I would recommend you to buy a screen saver as well as a case! It is expensive times to buy a new screen +++

Update on the Pitaka. Phone and case took a hard fall onto a tiled floor, landing on the upper right corner. As you can see, the impact removed (?) the topmost layer, and you can now see this clearish, whitish area. You can barely feel a difference, so it’s more aesthetic than anything else. I was a little surprised as for some reason I assumed the entire case was the same color as the visible area, but apparently it’s a coating.

Phone is just fine! And the case wasn’t really damaged—I may just color that area in with a black permanent marker, and it would pretty much be gone. Very happy, as that fall would have messed up a lot of cases, and perhaps even the phone. I wasn’t expecting this kind of drop protection from such a minimal case, even with aramid fiber or whatever it is.

Talk about an actual real life drop test, on tiled floor on top of that. Brownie points for pitaka!

No personal experiences with ultra protective cases, but I’m banking on Nomad’s Rugged case as my tough one that I’ll use in more “demanding” situations. Currently waiting for my preordered orange one to ship. I read on Reddit that some swear by Pelican or UAG as their uber protective cases (as an alternative to Otterbox).

Whatever case you go with, make sure you use a screen protector as well. Enjoy your incoming 14 Pro!

With my orange Nomad still to come, I’m debating whether or not to grab another case this Black Friday, but man I’m just so satisfied with the Apple Ink leather case: Perfect fitment, svelte form factor and weight, and the colour is gorgeous (particularly out in the sun).

Tempted by a Caudabe in Amethyst, but a decent chance I’ll just save the cash and refrain from adding a third case.

I think the transparent phone case is the best, especially the silicone material, which is very soft. Even if the phone falls on the ground, it can better play a protective role. The disadvantage of this phone case is that it is easy to oxidize and turn yellow.

Does anyone have a deep purple iPhone 14 pro in an Otterbox lumen case?
Not sure the pics will help, but it’s great, fits tight around the edges and feels good. Favourite is the black, in the darkest parts it has a shimmer as it catches the light, very subtle, not glittery. Also pictured, the blue and silver (a kind of off white, cream colour). All housing my deep purple 14PM. Sorry, lighting may not be the best! - the topmost section is clear so shows the natural phone colour.

Thanks for this. I was looking at the blue one as a gift.
