The reason I brought it up is because AE14 described it as a "design flaw" and I'm trying to figure out what is meant by that.
I have cases (caudabe synthesis for example) that don’t have that, and have seen no issues with the speaker. Personally- I look at it as a flaw, since there doesn’t seem to be a reason for its presence.

Just my opinion

You mean the speaker port is covered?

It covered. The case is straight across. No indentation

I thought they would all be indented.
(I'm relatively new to all of this!).
The only smart phone I've owned (own) is a 13 Pro, and the two cases I have for it (Smartish Gripzilla and Lifeproof See) are both designed to not cover the port. 🤔
Thanks!

I’d say it’s a design choice. Not everybody is going to like everything. I would liken it to the speaker/mic cutouts on cases; some match them to the precise size of the holes, others make them symmetrical. Neither is wrong or a flaw.

Peel cases…any good?

Any info appreciated.

I'm not a fan. A couple of issues:
  1. There are open seams at the bottom corners. This allows the corners to expand to fit the phone - maybe it's because it's relatively rigid material so it needs the seams, but they end up feeling kind of scratchy and catch material in your pockets. The harder material the case is made of also makes it kind of unpleasant to hold.
  2. The buttons (power, volume, silent switch) end up recessed, so you have to turn the phone and make an effort to press them. That's a real pain. Many/most other cases come with their own "buttons" that extend the phone's.
In the end, I found the peel case to be overpriced and not comfortable. It's like the took a generic case from a random Chinese factory and put it in a nicer box/website. If you order from them, they also take forever to ship. Customer service was responsive, though ultimately kind of clueless when it came to the issues with the case.

How do you guys take such good photos without all that dust on it. I wipe and wipe but my shots always shows dust particles. It looks fine to me till I take the picture with another iPhone 14 pro max and it shows all that stuff there. lol

Anyone received their Orange Nomad Rugged case yet? Just got a shipping heads-up from FedEx, but I suspect it’s only for the orange Watch strap instead of for both items.

Nothing yet on the rugged case. Did receive my Ultra Orange band last week and the box it came in was smashed and ripped but the band was OK. I emailed Nomad and requested a new box as I like to keep these things and not one that looks like it was ran over with a truck. My OCD can't handle this:

except he would be at a loss since he has to pay for shipping fees twice
Yup. Just a question of how important it is to him. Maybe the company will send a new box. Maybe they'll send him a second strap for free, for having such innovative packaging needs. I don't know. ;)

Maybe someone on this thread who got the same strap and doesn't care about the box can send it to him. It has never occurred to me to keep boxes for this type of thing. The only boxes I have kept are for the actual Apple devices. Everything else goes into recycle.

I keep all of this stuff too. I have the space for it so why not?

I took a photo of my collection and posted it here somewhere not all that long ago.
