i picked up a cheap clear case from bodygaurdz but it turn the purple phone blue. whats the best NON magsafe clear case out there?

That was my question. I have tried a cheap clear case and the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case and they both added bulk and didn’t feel thin at all, so I sent them back for a refund. I also tried out Totallee’s Clear Soft case and it was bulky and not thin just like the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case, so that’s going back for a refund as well. I ordered these 2 cases yesterday with delivery tomorrow.

I love clear cases, but the back makes them less grippy.

Yes you’re right about the back making them less grippy. In my opinion, Caudabe’s Lucid Clear case was the best clear case I’ve used and I’ve tried a lot of them for my 12 Pro Max. It wasn’t bulky and kept my phone protected. This year they added the MagSafe circle on the back and I don’t like the circle.

Last two phones have been Apple black silicone but those cases have lasted maybe 1.5 years max before the corners started to rip. Now for the first time I'm trying Apple's leather case (midnight). It feels great in the hand. I've read that the quality has deteriorated over the years but I'm hopeful that since mine is midnight it'll be fine.

Just got a bunch of different cases. Mostly from Zag. I've seriously spent 1.5 hour trying to get it off... It's so freaking tight. Almost wondering if I should send back the phone and start using the second one I ordered by a mistake... A little afraid that the phone might have got damaged when trying to take it off...

Any tips for how to get these cases off?

Been using the UAG Magsafe Civilian for my 14PM. Really enjoying this case. Solid drop protection rating, beveled edges for easier grip, nice button feel. Added bonus of having lanyard holes for when I walk my 100 lb. Yellow Lab and I have cleanup duty. Highly recommended!

I’ve yet to find my ideal case. I like clear cases because they provide protection while showing off the color of my phone. However, I hate the feel of them, and they always get disgusting (greasy, yellow, grimy). Also my clear case I bought doesn’t even show Deep Purple well since it just adds a light translucent filter over a dark color.

Silicone cases are my favorite feel and grip. Apple’s are my favorite, but they’re $50 and only last like 6 months. It’s hard to find third party silicone cases with MagSafe. Silicone cases hide the color of my device too which sucks, but it is fine to customize with different silicone colors, and they clean easily.

I go caseless in less risky environments (indoor, carpeted), but I require a case for other scenarios. I go to the gym and put my phone on the floor while lifting weights, which could definitely scratch my phone up quickly. It’s also just risky to be living life without a case (falling out of your pocket while getting in/out of the car, exercising, just being outside, concrete, nightlife/being under the influence, going to festivals/events).

There’s no perfect solution.

Anyways, I’m currently using a Spigen MagSafe clear case and will probably use that until I get tired of how bad it feels and sucker up for a silicone case. I still take it off when I can though.

Get the Apple clear case. It’s phenomenal. I’ve always been a leather guy but I canceled my Bullstrap order after trading in my Midnight silicone case for this one.

Again, phenomenal.

If you like silicone cases but hate how apple’s fall apart, get a Magbak. Not only do they hold up, the MagSafe magnets are way stronger than the apple ones. Only bad thing is the limited colors.

Thank you for the recommendation. Are they really that much better? Worth $50? What makes them worth it? I’ve owned many different clear cases from many different brand over the years, and no matter what, they always get greasy and yellow.

From what I’ve read, Apple’s don’t turn yellow.

Ditch the cases my man. I’ve found none of them really add anything to the user experience due to the already borderline unacceptable weight of the devices. For any damage you have express replacement.
Express Replacement if you have AppleCare+ or everybody who pays Apple to fix a damaged iPhone? Yes, the stainless steel pro's are heavy.

I just bought the Ink leather case and the buttons are almost impossible to press. They are definitely mushier and more difficult to actuate than the Apple leather cases I have for the 13 Pro Max I still have on hand. Has anyone also found the new Apple leather case buttons harder/mushier to actuate?
That's why I had to return both Ink and Midnight. I was going to choose between the two, but both had mushy buttons. It also didn't fit as well as in the past. Apple must of used another manufacturer to make their leather cases this year or a bad design this year. Not sure if I will go naked or get the a bit too thick RhinoShield bumpers.

I have that same case and asked for a refund. It’s definitely not slim. Their hard case is slimmer but slippery. I love Caudabe’s Lucid Clear case but they have the MagSafe circle on the back and I don’t like the circle.
Have you tried a peel case? Or a frameless? I am using this frameless one and while not grippy its working well

Yes, I meant with insurance.

Leather cases used to have the best buttons I’ve ever tried on a case. The metal click was lovely and the main reason to pick it over the silicone cases for me. It is disappointing because I will buy the Orange case eventually just for the heck of it. Love the color.

The thing I most love about using any of the pro models without a case is the clean/sterile feeling nature.
The frosted back barely gets any fingerprints, the back and the sides do not absorb anything, they aren’t porus like the leather case, or get oily like the silicone ones. It’s hard surface, easy to clean and feels great. Phone slides around with ease in the hand. Good stuff. Don’t care about breaking it.

I’ve not tried that case. I’ll buy a clear skin for the sides and see how it looks. I have a Peel case for my 12 Pro Max and didn’t like it.
