someone mentioned if you press the alignment magnet in when you open the package that will help. just make sure it’s firmly in the slot. i’ve had the brand new replacement sitting on my desk for like 2 weeks. not sure if i want to keep or sell.
Oh ok good to know

Well, after thirty days with the FW I’m left feeling disappointed. The grip has just not improved, it’s still slippery as day one. The buttons have started to become rattling and the case has started to creak in one side. Lint is getting caught in the material and marks from the MagSafe accessories is getting worse. The back edges of the case are also uncomfortably sharp (where the sides meet the back). Dang you Apple for getting rid of the leather!!

So I’m back to the trusty Silicone. I’ve decided to try the silver Style Armor but I’m not sure it’ll work for me because of the weight.

Anyone know where to find a good deal on the Nomad Sport?

I finally received a clean copy of the Pitaka Pro (twice before Amazon sent what appeared to be used cases). Pitaka seems to possibly be making running changes as the buttons and the fit on this one are perfect (zero button rattles and a very tight fit).

I like the fact that this is a real aramid case that uses the aramid as part of the structure as opposed to cases like the Mous and Phone Rebel which, while being excellent cases, essentially have an aramid sheet glued on the back for looks. It’s also nice that there are no seams which cuts down on the detritus build up you get around the edges of those other cases. An extremely nice case that’s pricey, but arguably worth it.

Happy you got a good one! I just put mine back on after a few days using my Sheaths and it is a nice change, slimmer and lighter which more closely mimics the iPhone shape, although it cannot compete with the grippy overall texture of the Caudabes. The silky surface feels premium while the chamfered edges allow for a secure grip. Mine fits perfectly and the buttons, while responsive, never rattled. I have noticed a slight silver line appearing on the outer edge of the black camera surround after a month, but it is easily covered with a swipe of a black magic marker.

I don't see how the grip could improve it's just plastic (mine hasn't) although it's a bit better in our heat/humidty ATM but will go back to slippery when cooler, not getting any of those other issues just a few smudge marks on the back and the magsafe ring a bit, like you get with their leather/silicone cases in previous years.
Only thing that keeps me going back to is the weight and size, not sure how would go in a drop, it's firm to get off too.

Hard to beat the good old black symmetry lol

It’s lighter than the Sheath?

When I slap on the sily after using my Sheath I’m like “ah wow”. Never thought I would consider weight but the sily is so light, offers adequate protection and melts in your hands. But the Sheath I like better for other reasons because it checks more boxes.

How heavy is the FW vs the sily?

29 for FW vs 33 for Silicone (15 pro max)

Doesn’t look that bad. I do wish the grip was better on the sides. Sad to hear it doesn’t get better. Silicone is great. Now I have to order a black one. I hope they make a white. They haven’t don’t one in a while.

The metal camera surround is protected by a TPU bumper which has me wondering what is causing the wear mentioned above. Any ideas?

Sily is great. Everytime I run the sily I think I like it better than the Sheath. Every time I run the Sheath I like it better than the sily. But bottom line it’s the Sheath that I like better if I’m honest.

is there any other case that has a similar melt in your hands feel?
A family member has the DBrand Ghost that I handled and has the melt in your hands factor.

But melt in your hands is good but that’s not my only decision on what makes a good case. Take the Sheath it’s not melt in your hands but I like it better than the sily. The Apple silicone melts in your hands but I don’t like it better than the Sheath.

I've been using the Torras Magnetic Guardian in the blue color way for the past 2 months on my BluTi 15 Pro Max. Has the comfort of a silicone case, but without the 'stickiness'. Great buttons, tight fit, very strong MagSafe magnets, & it's lightweight. Haven't really given any thought to switch it out.

How do you keep it fingerprint and smudge free? I do love this case but not the grease pit on the back.

Think I'll dig mine out and give it another run later today.

Do you find it grippy? I love the grip of the regular magEZ 4 but found on the pro the it was all really smooth and added to the boxy design it didn’t find it grippy at all.

Pitaka appears to use a soft-touch rubber/vinyl material on the camera ring. It feels premium but once it gets nicked it starts to peel (as mine did). The same material is used to coat the non-aramid front portion of the case too.

The silver/white color that appears is likely the underlying plastic.

Have you ever tried the Benks or Enzo? They are about $20 cheaper than the Pitaka. Was just wondering if the $20 more justifies the price.
