New case just in, it's the YMW Italian Nappa leather case in grey (on my 15 Pro in blue).

Really really good case. Leather is super soft and nice feeling, buttons are excellent and nicely tactile, and no sharp bottom cutouts.

Definitely a keep and will be in the regular rotation.
How does this compare to the official Apple Leather cases from years past?

Yea it's a sweet design for sure. I need Pitaka to make better styled Pro cases with 360 protection. These snap on style cases are great designs , but don't offer a lot for $70
Yeah I get what you mean. I guess for the MagEZ case you pay more for less. I’ve never had a Pitaka case but the MagEZ looks like the closest I can get to caseless, without being caseless. I’d been curious about competitor thin cases (ArmorAir, Mous thin), but this looks maybe better quality plus better design options.

It’s a different leather entirely.

It’s nicer in the hand but a bit thicker than Apple’s. It’ll be more hard wearing than Apple’s. Fit on the phone is tighter And the magnets are of equal strength.

(In my experience)

Any pics?

Black 15 PM with the White Nomad Sport. One of my favorite of many cases. Feels great, very light, fits great, great buttons, and decent grip on the back.

Black 15 PM with Ryan London case. I don’t have any other leather cases to compare it to, but I’m very happy with it. I used Ryan20 for a discount. Took about a week and a half to get to south Alabama.

Got the Nomad Modern in English
Oh I agree 100% and prefer the feel the silicone over the sheath. The dimensions of the cases, however, are very close. The feel in the hand is much different. But since you were comparing size differences with the Nomad Leather I was specifically referring to that.
Got the Nomad a while ago and been running it. Spec wise it’s longer and wider than the Apple silicone and Sheath but not by much. It’s actually thinner in depth than the Sheath not by much and slightly thicker than the silicone.

Feel on the hand? Doesn’t “feel” that different than the Silicone or Sheath like “holy sh*t this case is too wide and too tall.”

length, and lip too small has always been a nomad make or break for me, at least the buttons are good now.

I had the Nomad Sport and returned it. I was not a fan of the overly sensitive floating buttons. I know many will disagree, but to each their own.

Length spec wise the Nomad is 2mm longer in length than the Apple silicone and Sheath.

Ok about the buttons. So far the buttons are overly sensitive, if that makes sense. I keep my phone in right cell phone pocket. When I take it out and switch holding my left hand I keep hitting the buttons.

I know lots love floating buttons but these are overly sensitive so far unless and / until I find a groove. It’s driving me f’ing nuts lol.

IMO the buttons stick out too much maybe? The Apple silicone buttons are almost flush so there’s no hitting them by accident plus it takes some pressure to press. The Sheath buttons are slits which lots don’t like but aren’t overly sensitive and takes some pressure to press. Nomad you can almost blow on them and they’ll press lol.

Any leather case with zero lip when a screen protector is installed on the phone? I absolutely hate feeling the edge of a case when swiping.

Symmetry has best buttons of all cases I have tried, my no 1 and only one I havn't returned.
$50AUD for the year lol
Not counting the FW as got it free, like it but is too slipper on the sides where it matters.

Lip is one of the things that makes it perfect for me. I love that it doesn’t get in the way of swiping. Buttons are mostly fine, perhaps the power button is slightly on the sensitive side.

Just wanted to share that my revised Synthesis arrived and I’m very pleased with it, the buttons are super clicky down to the action button. You can also hear them click loudly. They’ve finally mastered the Synthesis this year.
Same experience here, just got one recently too. I agree about the buttons. They’re excellent. I can officially say that I’m a Synthesis guy now. I’ll still use the Sheath, but those side grips on the Synthesis are great.
