Anyone tried Rhinoshield clear case? Honest thoughts? Is it protective?
If they never change it from the previous versions;
It's slippery, thick and very hard to remove. Rhinoshield cases are the protective kind so it should be good for protection.
It has good customisation with the camera rings and buttons. I think they're the first ones to do so.
It's a full PC case so it'll never yellow. The clear buttons it came with will though.

Length spec wise the Nomad is 2mm longer in length than the Apple silicone and Sheath.

Ok about the buttons. So far the buttons are overly sensitive, if that makes sense. I keep my phone in right cell phone pocket. When I take it out and switch holding my left hand I keep hitting the buttons.

I know lots love floating buttons but these are overly sensitive so far unless and / until I find a groove. It’s driving me f’ing nuts lol.

IMO the buttons stick out too much maybe? The Apple silicone buttons are almost flush so there’s no hitting them by accident plus it takes some pressure to press. The Sheath buttons are slits which lots don’t like but aren’t overly sensitive and takes some pressure to press. Nomad you can almost blow on them and they’ll press lol.
I have no idea why Caudabe decided to downgrade the Sheath's buttons. The previous ones have only 1 air slit and it was perfect. Not floating buttons but it's good and clicky. Now it's the 2 air slits design like the old Pitaka Pro case which is worse.
Also, the air slits buttons are bad for dust. It's a good thing the Sheath is easy to remove.

I don’t have experience with the older gen of the Sheath. IMO the buttons on my current Sheath are great, tactile and clicky. I take my phone out once a day and blow out the inside of the case and my iPhone ports with compressed air hose, takes less than 10 seconds. I would do that anyway whether or not a case had air slits.

Now that companies are not competing with Apple in the leather case category the iPhone 16 series will see many deluxe and improved leather cases from various companies

As poor as the leather was on the official case, no one has replaced Apple’s form factor yet. Compared my 13PM Apple leather case to my 15PM Ryan London case and as thin as the RL is, it’s still slightly thicker and has more of a raised lip. If someone could create a better leather experience with the same form factor as Apple’s then I’d be all over it.

Not all cases can stand getting the phone taken in and out for cleaning everyday. I'm sure the Sheath can handle it but my old 13PM Pitaka Pro and Mous Limitless got looser and I only did it once per week.

I’ve read that’s it’s highly likely that YMW on Aliexpress manufactures for companies like Andar, RL etc etc, don’t know how true it is. It’s also possible they made cases for Apple.

Having tried cases from all I dont think YMW make Andar cases or RL closed bottom.

Possibly/good chance of Bullstrap.

I suspected RL open bottomed ones but someone on here said they have seen RL trim their cases in house.

The only similarities is the plastic case underneath the leather… the rest are all using their own leathers.

YMW uses leather from tannery’s and they may have their own in house leather.

I just watched a YouTube video of a guy giving a short review of a gray Sheath for his Pro Max. Nothing but praise for it. Meanwhile, the MagSafe ring was very evident on the back and he never once mentioned it. I was laughing to myself about how if the review was done by some on here, they would have been angling the case in the light to show how bad the “condom ring” was.

I don’t get it either. MagSafe can be seen on clear/frosted cases and no one seems to care.

Anyone got the blue nomad sport? Do they scratch up and Greasy on the back? Magsafe ring?

Here’s mine. I don’t wipe it off regularly but do use MagSafe to charge every night. If I wipe it off it cleans up nicely.

The Clear/Frosted cases with the magsafe ring looks good imo
Love the contrast if you have a lighter color iPhone. I love the Sierra Blue with the black magsafe ring.
