On topic, I’d drop whatever the name is for the far left hand page of the iOS home screen. With widgets on main pages I find it useless. Keep it on the Lock Screen, fine.
To be honest I still use this over widgets on the Home Screen (iPhone at least). I have one Home Screen with essential apps, the dock with 4 folders of essential app catagories, swipe right for widgets, left for App Library, down for search. It’s a nice neat clutter free system.

Do you actively use all features?
I dont but i just ignore the ones i dont use. I suppose a bit more openness to turn things off if you dont use them would be nice but its not the end of the world to just not use something. Just because i dont use it doesnt mean someone else finds it useful.

SETTINGS! - I get why its there, but with so many apps then sometimes it feels like it would be easier to just access app preferences/permissions from within the actual app.
You need OS settings.

I think you mean move app settings to the apps themselves?

But then I would like to be able to control things like notifications and location permissions all in one place. So it's back to the settings app.

Yeah, I like to keep a clean set up. I don’t have a iPhone, but CMD+space is a feature I use a lot on the iPad.

But I don’t see the point in removing features for the sake of not having a use for it, at this point… I try to take advantage of the features Apple provides… not remove/turn off.

It's best to get rid of them as it's less code clutter.

app library and stickers and the ridiculous changes to Safari moving address bar and making it harder to refresh
I agree with you about safari. I have the beta for 15 and I can hardly use safari anymore. but app library and stickers are the best...

what I would remove though is today view. what's the point of it anymore? if you can put widgets on home screen then why keep today view LOL

I know this is somewhat subjective but if you had the opportunity to go through iOS and clean some stuff up and remove this or that , what would you choose to do away with?
I’ll go first:

1) Today View
2) iMessage stickers
How do you get to today's view on ios 14? I couldn’t find it. I remember it though

Because I don’t want every widget on my Home Screen. For example I have the small widget for everyone I share my location with and all my items with the find My one, so I can quickly see a bunch of locations at once, instead of having to swipe through a bunch of widgets on my Home Screen or having so many widgets I can’t have icons.

I have the big weather widget and the big news widget in there if I want some more detailed updates, and the small ones on my Home Screen for super fast updates.

I can't believe no one has mentioned this. I would get rid of the 10% battery, 5% battery, etc intrusive alerts that interrupt what you're doing. YES I know the battery is low.

Y'all can't take away my App Library!

There are just times when you're so invested in whatever you're doing with your phone so that you don't realize how fast the battery drains. Taking away the warning messages is like taking away the symbols on your car's dashboard.

hmmm

1) iMessage stickers
2) iMessage apps
3) Digital Touch (It was never developed to its full potential. They just slapped it on to give a Snapchat vibe when Snapchat was super popular. Cheeeeaaap…)

I don't want them taken away. I want the option to make them non-intrusive banners.

Also can't believe some people are saying App Clips. That's something you never see if you don't want to use them. I can check out and pay rapidly without having to install your app? Sign me up for that.

Apps that can be downloaded from the app store or that are automatically downloaded or on the phone when you up for the first time.

Stop auto arranging apps and allow them anywhere on the home screen
Today view is pointless
Rename and organize App Library folders, as an app launcher its garbage.
Left swipe is not back inside an App Library folder
No landscape mode for home screen and music apps. Messages stupidly gets one tho
Files is joke as file manager
Delete or hide the faces I'll never use in the Watch App. Adios Minnie and Buzz..
Better built in password manager.

The phone app... I mean I'm not even sure what it does, seems like a relic from the 1970s or something
I agree. Voice calls should be banned worldwide. Why can't people just text? Why do they have to interrupt what I'm doing?
