I'd keep my current iPad mini 5 (64gb)

But -- I do keep my eyes open for a good deal on one with more storage

Is that Speed Racer/Mach GoGoGo? Curious, where did you buy the skin?
Yes it is! :D (that's what the "sracer" is short for... I've had that as a username for 30+ years... back in the day, usernames on the BBS systems I frequented had a 6 character limit)

The "skin" is actually self-adhesive clear contact paper.... $3 for a 20 ft roll. I use it for everything. Easy to trace out and trim. Stays secure until you want to remove it. When removed, no residue at all. I printed out the Mach 5, trimmed it, and placed it on the iPad and then covered it with the contact paper.

This is my newly purchased iPhone SE 2020... Product (RED) with a clear case... with the same Mach 5 (and matching homescreen)

To be honest, I would probably replace my iPad Pro with an M1 MacBook Air. The products are not very different in battery life or instant wake or even weight (with the MKB) or computing power, but I think I would prefer a Mac OS device to the simplified iPadOS.

I will keep my iPad Pro 11” I bought in February this year. Only thing I’d possibly consider is the cellular model. For me personally, but I’ve got an iPhone anyway if I need a hotspot.

Have the 12.9 Pro w/5G and Magic KB. I like it, but since I recently went the 14”MBP, I think I’d prefer the new Mini. I can see me using it for books, and other consumption.

what do you use it for? just curious because it does seem like the iPad Pro is so way overpowered then what the iPadOS can offer.
I think this is a little bit of a myth. You cannot do some traditional (but niche outside of these sites) computing tasks. Everything else - the stuff it’s designed for, the os is really no bottleneck or hindrance at all. I challenge anyone to refute this with a genuine argument. The biggest thing I hear is for programmers. But who the hell buys a touch first tablet to programme? Then I hear ‘Apple said it’s your next computer!!’ Well- it is. If it suits you. Like any system. Like any tool. Like anything.

True. Well, web browsing is I think 90+% okay now but there are still websites that can be iffy (I blame the web developers). Also, whoever came up with infinite scrolling should be consigned to the deepest layer of hell.

Mind, one of the things I appreciate with the M1 is there’s no difference in performance when I have apps/app updates installing in the background. The 2021 iPad Pro still flies through tasks. On my previous 2017 iPad Pro, there were noticeable lag/freezes so I’d often just stop web browsing and switch to another iPad. ?

Any workflow that requires multiple apps to operating on a particular data file is cumbersome on iPad OS. Please note that I said "cumbersome", not "impossible".

My original Ipad Pro does everything I need it to do and in fact probably more.

I'm itching to try a different keyboard set up though. Started off with Apples Magic Keyboard then to the Logitech combo touch and am thinking of going back to the MKB lol
