I have an opportunity to purchase an Apple milanese band for cheap, but I don't think there's enough room in my life for a nylon band or two plus the milanese. Hmm.

I really love my Milanese. It is a very classy, high end band perfect for formal occasions or just when you want to look a little fancier, or want a metal band. I highly recommend it.

Since I know how much you guys wanted to see the scuba blue, here it is fresh out of the box next to the pearl.

image.jpg

[doublepost=1459144958][/doublepost]On a similar note, has anyone noticed indentations developing in their nylon bands? I've only worn the pearl twice and there's already bulges in it. (Compared to the new scuba blue band especially.)
[doublepost=1459145745][/doublepost]
image.jpg

[doublepost=1459145877][/doublepost]The bands are nice initially out of the box but I have serious concerns about lasting quality. The nylon scuba blue band is all I expected it to be out of the box, and feels much better than the scuba blue band they had to demo at the Apple Store, but my pearl watch band is already starting to degrade in quality. I'm concerned these aren't built to last but if they are I'm leaning towards keeping the scuba blue and getting a Milanese loop.

Would you like pictures of the Milanese on the Silver Sport? I have plenty if you're interested: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/pictures-aw-sport-with-milanese-loop.1957218/#post-22587429

I'm not exactly sure what you're concern is. There's going to be a slight bend where the clasp is. I have it on my pink nylon band as well as my white sport (though it's not quite as pronounced in the sport). it's just a function of the band flexing to conform to your wrist.

I've loved the look of the Milanese on the Sport since day one. Just didn't think it was worth the money since it's one of the most popular bands. But I was able to buy it OEM for half-price so I'm most likely returning the pearl, which looks like a poor man's Milanese.

I was able to get mine OEM around half price as well, full price is too high IMO. I think the Milanese and Scuba Blue is a good combo to have, good mix of bright colors and a more formal look.

Are those the only bands you have, besides a sport also?

Assuming we both bought it from the same place for half-off OEM but if it wasn't a certain site that lets people buy and sell let me know. (I think we have to follow each other on the forums to PM.)

I got mine open box from eBay. And lol, I have way too many bands, kind of obsessed
I have:
5 Sport Bands, White, Green, Blue, Midnight Blue, and Product Red
Black Leather Loop
Milanese Loop
Scuba Blue Woven Nylon (waiting...)
Clockwork Synergy Grey Nylon
And a third party leather band that I never use cause I don't like it. There's also a metal one I used on my old pebble which I put adapters on but also don't use. That's my band collection right now.

Went to the store and looked at the new nylon bands. Honestly I am slightly disappointed in Apple. The strap looks fun and unique but for $50 I was hoping for something slightly more elegant than plastic connectors and a shiny buckle. And I noticed two of the bands are the exact same thing, just flipped around. Apple should have found a cool way to make them reversible. That would have definitely made the $50 price tag worth it in my opinion, even if they kept the plastic connectors.
But I am very excited for the storm gray leather loop! Looks amazing paired with the space grey sport. Going to order it soon.

I bought a third-party band as well and hate it as I figured I would. I'm glad I never bought into Hoco since for a similar price I was able to get the OEM nylon band instead of a knock-off leather strap.

No problem here with the plastic connectors. It's lighter and won't scratch the watch interior. Stainless steel buckle looks great though.

Yep, the knockoffs just don't do the OEM straps justice. The third party Milanese I had was actually pretty decent, but still not as high quality as Apple's. And the third party Leather Loop was garbage.

No point buying the third party bands IMO. The good quality ones are too expensive, so much so that if and when you decide to get rid of one of Apple's bands the resale value will make up for the price difference.

Yeah exactly. And you can get them gently used like I did with both the LL and ML for great discounts.

I just received my scuba blue and it is more turquoise than blue, exactly what I was hoping for to wear with my silver and turquoise Navajo bracelet I brought back from a trip.

Royal blue-- liking this one even more than the black one. The different color threads make it look blue, purple, light gold, or muted pink-orange under different lighting. Really interesting band. I'm really impressed by the Apple designers with these nylon bands.

Just received the Royal Blue Sport Band. I really like the color and I think it goes very well with the AWS Space Gray. The previous Blue Sport Band was too vibrant for me but this one is just perfect.

I did a small unboxing here comparing this band with the previous Blue Sport Band.

Gold/Red Woven Nylon. They had multiple colours in stock in store, but this is the one that stood out. Couldn't be happier with it. It's supremely comfortable, and the plastic inserts at the end aren't really an issue, since you don't ever notice them when the band is on your wrist. Hated nylon bands until now! I've always thought the third party ones looked cheap and carelessly chopped.
