Rewatching Supernatural for the third time.

I love this programme. Only have series 1-7. Will look forward to 8 and 9!

This is one of the most enjoyable TV series I've ever had the joy to watch. I find it moving, funny, scary, wonderfully varied and always has a good message in each episode.

I make a habit of keeping my TV viewing rather minimal as I'm a very active athlete that thrives off outdoor activities like rock climbing, kayaking, running, century rides, lots of training and gym time.

That said the best aspect of my Prime Amazon membership is being able to watch a good series like The Wire commercial free from my iPad Air whenever and wherever I want.

I totally understand that. A show like the Wire isn't a show to watch, it's more like an experience to have.

I'm going into the last half of the final season of Mad Men. EXCELLENT show. Though I have NO idea what I'm going to watch next. :/

I've seen all of Californication, Lost, The Office, Parks and Rec, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Dexter, House, Friday Night Lights, Sopranos, Sons of Anarchy, House of Cards. Tried OITNB but couldn't get into it. Any suggestions based on my previous viewing habits?

The X-Files and Kolchak: the night stalker. Started with the former then came across the latter; makes for a good double-feature.

If you have HBO, Entourage is good.

Thanks to above posters for suggesting Entourage!

Love Supernatural. That said, I think it should have ended a few seasons ago.

Currently binging on Dexter on Netflix. Just finished season 4, might have a night off before I hit #5, but then again I might not

Game of Thrones

First time watching it. Started watching it the other morning and nearly finished with Season 2 after 48 hours. I give it 8/10 so far. Alot of boring political dialogue and uninteresting characters. But looking at the IMDb episode guide, it seems Season 1-3 have the lowest scores and doesn't really get better until Season 4-5 with multiple 9.0-rated episodes. I like the production values and locations where they shot some of the scenes. The top 3 most popular characters seems to be the dwarf, the dragon mother, and Arya. I agree. I like those 3 the best. Arya was probably my first personal fav. Not many of the male characters like Jon Snow is bad*** enough for me. No Sawyer or Sahid from LOST or Daryl from The Walking Dead. I need my Han Solo-types. A wisecracking bad*** with a heart of gold. If no Harrison Ford-types, a Joe Pesci funny guy-type can do. Only Peter Dinklage seems to deliver the best and funniest lines and understand why he is the most popular. But I like the story enough to keep watching...

I am generally not a TV show guy. Last one I truly followed weekly was LOST (2004-2010). I prefer movies over TV shows. Not as much time to get involved. Longer than a single episode but story arcs can be resolved within 1.5-3 hrs while story arcs in TV might take an entire season. I also prefer better production values in movies and its more talented acting pool of A-listers although GoT is pretty classy as is for HBO. After GoT, I have Breaking Bad in my backlog. There is about 12 TV shows I plan to have the completed series.

Game of Thrones
Breaking Bad
The Wire
Mad Men
LOST
Rome
How I Met Your Mother
30 Rock
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Married With Children
Gilligan's Island
Three's Company

For a 2 TB portable hard drive, I want about 20+ TV shows but about 1,200+ HD movies.

Star Trek: The Next Generation. I just watched one of my favorites of this series last night: Yesterday's Enterprise.

Yes. I'll bite. That is a terrific episode, dark, threatening, brooding, and brave and sad all at once. An Enterprise at war, the familiar characters worn by the tension of enduring in a world about to be defeated and destroyed, rather than one sustained by idealism and optimism.

It manages to convey the tension of an endless war, the strain of decades of conflict, the knowledge that the war was wrong in the first place, and the inevitability of total defeat.

Brilliant. And Tasha Yar briefly back, too.
