Finished it as well. Meh it was ok. Very typical story, which we've seen a bunch of times, kept replaying the "motivation" as if that was good enough for the audience to believe he was doing no wrong. Also he musta been made out of titainum or something, as there were a few moments where "how did he walk away from that". There were a couple of twists near the end but not enough you couldn't see them coming. It was entertaining enough, and well executed, the story just lacked depth or real creativity.
Like that sci fi film he was in recently...

Binged this quick one in a day on Disney+. One of my favorite Disney+ Originals. Just wish it was longer, so I hope they do more seasons.

Been busy with stuff, so didn't get around to write something yet...

Finished Star Trek Strange New Worlds, two great episodes, one good, the rest was meh... with one episode probably being the worst Star Trek I've ever seen. Also, why bring Kirk in? Bad choice of actor.

Finished Doom Patrol season 3. Great, I want more.

Late to the game, but started The Boys, half-way through season 2, it's fantastic.

Also started Only Murders in the Building. It's ok, not bad, but 4 episodes in I fail to see what the hype is about.

Westworld is back with season 4, better than season 3, but still far from season 1.

Finished the last two episodes of Stranger Things, solid, as expected. No surprises, still don't get why we had to wait for it. Didn't like Eddie in the beginning, felt bad for him in the end. Max... ouch. Curious how that will turn out (hopefullt not Vecna posessing her). Bring on the next season please.

I still have to finish the current seasons of Snow Piercer, The Flash and Y The Last Man (which was cancelled after S1).
More on that (probably much) later, back to the regular scheduled program.

Very excited for this evening's episode after they teased the Roaring Twenties at the end of last week. I always wanted them to return to the themed worlds.

The latest season of Snowpiercer was a return to form. I recommend you watch it immediately.👌🏻

It'll be interesting to see if Amazon picks up the other books to make them a series. TL was pretty good.

I’m guessing that was the end of this particular story? Not sure if it can be taken further, although they probably could drag it on, like they did with The 100. Several weeks of my life I’m not getting back On the other hand, Ozark remains my top show to date, time well spent.

Westworld S4 has finally gained some traction with the last episode. Problem with that is that there are only five left in the season, and then a final fifth season after that. I doubt it will rise to the level of the first season again.

Five episodes of Saul left. Poor Howard. Poor Lalo, even, though he knows he plays a dangerous game. Gleefully to the very last moment. It would have been nice to have a very enjoyable character stick around longer, and on a lesser show, they might have saved his fate until closer to the end. But, and a lot of producers fail to remember this, characters serve the story, not the opposite.

While I haven't read any of these books, do we know if it is the same character throughout the books or does it follow different characters with similar backgrounds?

Started watching the following:

Dark Winds - Really like it, only on episode four, but so far so good.
The Old Man - On episode five of this one. Not to bad. Some good plot points and I am really digging John Lithgow in this one.

Yup. They follow James Reece. They are pretty good. 5 books total.

I've been watching The Old Man also. Pretty good. I didn't realize they stopped shooting the show for two years.

Oh, I didn't either! I am going to assume Covid related, since it pretty much put a stop to almost all filming over the past two or so years.

If all the books follow Mr. Reece, then I can see them adding additional seasons to this, especially since it shows Season One on Aamazon.

Yeah. I was listening to the Smartless podcast. Jeff Bridges was the guest. COVID and he also got pretty sick from something else. Great show.
