I’ve been watching The Lord Of The Rings The Rings Of Power and am thoroughly enjoying it. Good story, utterly utterly fantastic effects and shots, beautiful photography. And the acting is alright too. Hope it’s a success and goes on with the story.

I haven't watched it yet, but apparently they built real sets, which would account for the high budget. Maybe they will turn it into a theme park afterwards.

The CGI is truly high end expensive that’s for sure. The sets are incredible, I can see why it cost so much for sure.

Anyone got some suggestions of good, funny and new show? I haven’t seen a lot lately, apart from Reservation Dogs (highly recommended), Only Murders in the building & Kevin can **** himself.

Barry!! Of course I watched the 3rd season, one of my favourite show! The quality is getting better & better and this third season was fantastic. I will always remember the chase, so awesome.

For Ted Lasso, I loved the 1st season but was disappointed by the second.

Have to admit I don't watch that many TV series as I end up losing interest half way. These are the few I've actually watched all the way through - mostly older ones. Working from home means I am able to have something playing while at my computer so I tend to go for something that isn't too distracting during work hours.

Just finished the The New Detectives and Forensic Files (both 1990s - early 2000s, true crime documentaries).

The 90s sitcom The Nanny.

The 80s sitcom Sorry! with Ronnie Corbett (of The Two Ronnies fame).

My Girlfriend is An Alien - 2019 Chinese romantic fantasy comedy TV series.

Bit of a random mix there I know :p

Yeah agreed the 2nd season of Ted Lasso was meh. That whole romance didn't seem right either with the player and owner.. hopefully next season they do better.

Barry season 3 is amazing, try to watch them slowly because after there no more!
Everything is perfect in this show: the story, the acting, the character development, the dark humour and the drama.

Recently finished binging the Disney+ series Cars on the Road. The format is similar to Cars Toons and features the original voice cast, but has a more interwoven plot and introduces new memorable characters.

Anyone watched Colony? Any good?
I watched it when it aired, and enjoyed it.

Can't remember why, but I stopped watching in the middle of the final season.

IIRC, the show was endangered of being cancelled, and the budget was cut for the third season, which I think had an impact on the production of at least the beginning of the season. I think a lot of it took place in the woods, which I am sure is pretty cheap compared to the season 1 and season 2 settings.

There was some mystery to what was really going on, which was nice, but I found that some things needing more of a resolution that was was given, at least to the point that I stopped watching.

I might wait a few years, when I forget a lot of what happens on the show, and rewatch it from the beginning.

I just hope there was a satisfying ending.

Grand Tour is back. Solid episode. Started off slow, then turned into the usual madness. Not sure why Clarkson has to pee on everything and why we need to watch it. James May… all I can say is ouch… two times.

Superman and Lois

Okay, I've been putting this show off. With how bad Arrowverse shows got. Seeing this guy as Supes. After how awful Supergirl got. Which I wanted to love given how much of a Superman fan I am. I just didn't have much hope for the show.

Going in with such low expectations. I was quite surprised how good this show is so far. This is much more an HBO Max series than a CW series. The feel, the production quality are way above what I expected.

I'm only three episodes in. But if the quality maintains. This is the first good thing in the Superman universe in a while. It also stands out. As there are Superman elements. But it's much less a comic book feel than other series. More somber, which is refreshing.

So, if you are like me and thinking CW garbage. Give it a shot.

I love the CW Superman!! It's an awesome show and may be the best take on Superman that I've ever seen. Shows a side of Superman that's always remained a mystery. I loved Elizabeth Tulloch in Grimm but she is the best Lois Lane I've ever seen!! Love her in this character!!!!

I'm late to the party, so I bingewatched season 1 and 2 since last week. I have two episodes left of season 2 which I will watch tonight, but what a wonderful show. It reminds me of the early The Good Doctor episodes. Great characters, great character development... it's just fun to watch. Lucky for me as I'm almost done now, season 3 is starting later this week. I'm just not sure yet if I should wait to watch the whole season over a weekend or start watching individual episodes as they air.

I just watched 2 episodes. It’s decent, but it’s so rare to find comedy this year (sad world we live in, unfortunately) that I would say it’s good. I’ll continue watching it. We have classic themes but it’s revisited with the inside of show production.

Worth trying, épisodes are short and you’ll find at least one or 2 funny moments.

Late to the party, as usual, but started The White Lotus (HBO Max-US) last night with the missus. Two episodes in, of I believe 6, and it seems to be a worthwhile watch. Pacing is great with the characters individually showing signs of greater and greater conflict with themselves and I suspect each other ultimately.
