Had Amazon Prime for a free month and did about 7 or 8 GT. it’s just a continuation of old TG but enjoyable enough.
Being a continuation of the old TG is what fans wanted. The new TG is not half as entertaining or funny as the boys were. We stopped watching and eagerly await Season 3 on the GT!

Yeah, so I've read. I still watched the old TG but that first series back was rough. I've disliked Evans since his early days at Radio 1. I wouldn't even say he has a voice for radio. After he dropped out, the show got better. LeBlanc and Harris carry it. Still isn't as good as before.

It's terrible. It's very amateur quality. The sound effects and CGI blow. The script is very childish.

Hint: I'm pretty certain it's easy to figure out it was good based on my post.

Yeah, no...it wasn't...

And until I read your hint, and read your other sentence above, I had to wonder if we were talking about the same show.

I watched a few of the new TG but dropped out some point in season one of the reboot.

I liked Eddie Jordan's parts throughout the comeback. I could do without Schmitz and Reid. They try too hard and just aren't good in front of the camera. Though I recall original Top Gear and the 2000s reboot having teething problems the first few series. I vaguely recall a fairly overweight bloke in the first two series of the reboot that looked like an older Nick Frost.

Started season 4 also, and like you just finished episode 2. I am assuming, based on the first five minutes of the season, they go down the path which leads to a very bad ending. I don't know if you know the history behind this season or not.

Yes, I'm familiar with the history, it was actually referenced in season 1 by the narrator (Murphy). I'm up to episode 4 now. I've really this series.

I'm watching Narcos Season 4 right now. 2 Episodes in. So far so good.

Same here.

It will be ugly, though probably not as ugly as what actually happened, referring to how things went, and still go in the world of drug Cartels in Mexico. EDIT: This is not a spoiler, like I said, I'm also only two episodes in.

Moving on, I just finished the last season of House of Cards. Saying that the last season was a disappointment would be an understatement. Great show for the first three seasons, the fourth and fifth were still OK, but the last one was really a miss on many fronts. Shame, I really liked the character of Claire Underwood.

Not that we can really spoil the ending to this character since you can read about it online. Pretty darn horrific and if even a morsel of what the ex CIA Contractor and the two retired/former federal agents have said about it. Shame on them and shame on the US Government. I hope it isn't true, but given how governments have worked in the past, it really doesn't surprise me.

True. Just thought I'd insert that little bit of info for those not familiar with Camarena's story. And yes, horrific doesn't even begin to describe what happened, and what still continues to happen over there.

So it turned out I had a couple of days to devote to lounging on the couch and watching Netflix, so I managed to finish Narcos: Mexico sooner than anticipated.

It was great. All the actors were top notch, and though I first had hesitations about Michael Peña as Camarena, he did a great job with the role. Some historical inaccuracies aside
I wonder f. ex. why they changed the fact that it was actually Félix Gallardo who ordered the abduction and subsequent torture/murder of Camarena
it was a great run. I very much look forward to seeing what, in the world of Narcos, comes of Chapo Guzman and Operation Leyenda, and where they take the story from here. There certainly is wealth of horrible stuff to fill who knows how many seasons if they wanted to.

Interesting re: Spoiler... Oh there is a whole bunch of story lines they could run with!

Chapo being the most likely one.

Legends of tomorrow. Got a three month subscription to Now TV, but the last season isn't on there. The current one expires (well episode one) on Friday. So picked up the box set and binge watching it so we don't miss out on the freebie.
We've been enjoying Legends since it hit the airwaves. It's a lark and it doesn't take itself seriously. We're all fans of Beebo, too (who shows up later and becomes a running gag).

I like the in gags. Like grey saying 'I'm not going on the Titanic. It was built by an idiot' when he famously played the engineer who built it in the film, Thomas Andrews.
