Excellent.

it's about...?
Russian crime drama television series that centers on a special detective of the Russian police (Meglin) who also is essentially a sanctioned vigilante, hunting down the criminally insane ("maniacs" in Russian) who slip through the cracks of an ill-suited justice and police system. He used to work alone without revealing the secrets of his method. A graduate of the law faculty Esenya Steklova receives a referral to the department of the Investigative Committee, in which Meglin serves, and becomes his trainee. The girl has personal motives for working with the famous investigator - Esenya's mother was killed under mysterious circumstances, and her father hides important details of what happened, but she leaves no hope of reaching the trail of the murderer. Working with Meglin becomes a serious test for Esenya.

In main role, Paulina Andreeva ;) :

Well, this long weekend saw us finish up The Witcher and it was really good! Well worth giving it a watch! Can't wait to see the next season. It was a great story and a good cast. Also watched disc two of season 1 of Star Trek: Discovery (so, 8 episodes in). I am liking it, so far. They have changed a few things from all the Trek's that have gone before, but that's OK. I must say, though that I really dislike the subtitles for the Klingon language translations. They are very bad and look like someone with an old computer system did them. It really detracts from the rest of the FX and set, which is nice to look at.

I watched ‘Don’t f*** With Cats’ on Netflix. Terrifying but a must watch.

This was a weird one. I had close to no idea what, or rather who the show would be about when starting it. I thought it was just some random sicko engaging in animal abuse on the internet and people who tried to track him down.
I remember somewhat following the case back when it happened, so it was a surprise when the identity of the despicable waste of oxygen was revealed. The world is a better place with Luka Magnotta locked up.

It had some problems, but all in all a pretty good and engaging three episodes.

There were parts of it that seemed familiar to me too from the news a few years ago but I didn’t know anything about the guy until I watched this. My wife found it difficult to watch but we both enjoyed it at the same time. I’ve recommended it to a few people now and everyone seems to be quite blown away by it lol.
