Who else hates that apple logo in front of the MacBook Pro?

I think it would be much cooler with beastie thought, but then I would have to install FreeBSD on it aswell and then there is kind of no reason to get an Apple laptop to begin with so I could just aswell get a Lenovo.. and well, then there wouldn't be any Apple logo would it!? =P

The second one I could understand, but the first would just be silly.

whoa those are amazing. i want one. i mean, i like the apple logo but those are crazy.
Click the link, they're about $35 each and just peel off when you're tired of it. I'll be getting one when I get my next Macbook.
I'd want one for my MacBook as long as it has a cutout to let the logo shine through.. because I like the logo. Also, it'd have to be a really good painting.
If you put the apple stickers on it, doesn't it still represents the apple logo? It's the exact same thing except that it doesn't glow. In the day light you can barely see the glowing anyway, and do you walk around the street in the dark with your laptop open so everyone can see the glowing apple?
Btw i absolutely love my glowing apple!
Back in my pc days (shudder) which admittedly were recent (i.e. a year and half ago) I thought that the light up logo on the powerbook was one of the coolest logos on any piece of electronics ever. I think this was back when I still thought macs were stupid slow, weird computers. Back that logo still impressed me. It was like I thought that it was almost reason enough to buy a powerbook. Well now I'm on my second mac (iMac G5 es numero uno) a SR MBP and uh, I'm not as infatuated with it as I once was (which is a good thing, I was bordering on unhealthy) But I still really really like it, and still probably think it is the best electronics logo. If other people see it they can think whatever they want, but I knew that I always felt just a little bit on envy when I saw one. Now writing this on a MBP I'm just smiling.
huh? just because i do not like the "glowing" logo doesnt mean i do not like the MBP which i just purchased.

I don't really see what the problem with it is - probably 98% of the time I never see it.
I do think it is very cool, signature Apple laptop and I think it's one of the features that Apple will never remove from their laptops.
