Maybe you should get around to the fact that the world doesn't revolve around you?
Maybe you should read what I said -- I always used the pronoun me. I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, only responding to people that direct posted to me. People keep posting back that battery life and running on battery are oh so much better with AS, well like I said that makes absolutely *NO* difference to me.
Just to recount my experience, I owned an M1 MBA preordered on the first day available, 16G RAM, 1TB disk, expensive and the worst computing experience I've ever had -- it ran hot to the touch, thermal throttled so much it was barely useful, and when I did test the battery life, I got no more than 6hours with my normal workload. Used it for 2 months, put in on the shelf and went back to my intel Mac Mini. Not happy with AS and Apple.
Then a few months later I traded the MBA in (big loss in $'s) for a Studio Max, 64G RAM, 2TB SSD, really expensive. Great machine, fast, but got one of the whiners -- not enough to send it back, but still irritating. Have multiple problems with 3rd party monitors, flashing, not great looking display. Work on it for months, never get it any better. Really not happy with AS and Apple.
Finally decided AS is not for me but I still want to run a Mac at home. Buy on sale refurb from apple 27" iMac, LOVE it, it does everything I want to do, gorgeous monitor, great sound. Finally happy again with running a Mac and Apple.
I'm definitely not saying that nobody else shouldn't like AS just because I don't, but on that same token, just because several of you like AS, doesn't mean you can convince me it's worth it. I have the experience with it and found it lacking for *me*. I still own my Studio Max, so if I ever want to do something with AS, I can within seconds!
For work I'm an IT Manager and use a Windows laptop mostly, but have other machines as well, 99% of the time I'm plugged in, battery life just doesn't concern *me*.
Now I may be interested in an AS 27"+ iMac in the future, but until they release said machine, I'll remain happy with my intel iMac, so chill...
