What do you think will be the base storage of iPhone 11/Max?

It will likely stay 64GB for 2019. Remember, 16GB was the base all the way from the iPhone 4 up to the 6S Plus. The 7 finally brought the base up to 32GB, then the 8 upgraded the base storage to 64GB.
I think we won't see a shift of base storage until 2020. I do think the maximum storage level might be increased to 1024GB/1TB, to better compete with the Samsung S10+.

What do you think will be the base storage of iPhone 11/Max?

1) 64 GB

2) 128 GB

3) 256 GB

What do you think will be the max storage?

4) 512 GB

5) 1 TB

I vote 2 and 5.

My guess would be 64.

As far as max my guess is 512.

I think if they did 1 tb it’d be with a whole new design, which from the leaks doesn’t seem like it right now
[doublepost=1559015803][/doublepost]I also think they will charge A LOT for 1tb.

Maybe even 1800 bucks who knows.

If they do ever come up with 1 TB, yes, it would cost USD 400 to 500 over and above the 512 GB option.

That's exactly how and why it will help the ASP and Apple could do it.

Apple will continue the same experience like it was with 16GB devices! So my answer is 64GB!

They will continue to offer 64GB even if you could only take 100 pictures and install 10 apps!
Dumbest comment. 10 apps filling up 64GB? Get real.

I’m tempted by the iPhone 11 but getting the 256gb model with AppleCare is going to be roughly $1450, so I would not be buying it on day 1 and would wait for some sort of deal. Or possibly buy a iPhone XS and do the last years model thing.

That being said, if they did do a base model 128gb that would be a compelling upgrade. Especially for iPhone X users like me...but I’m guessing the base storage will be 64gb. Also, the phrase “shut up and take my money” might be uttered by me at some point as I break down and get an iPhone 11.

Are you going to trade in your iPhone X?

I’d sell it on eBay. I have a backup iPhone 6S, so depending on the rumors I could sell it before the Sept Keynote before it drops in price. The rumors would have to be pretty good though. FaceID 2.0, 128gb base storage, etc..

Don't worry, the 11 would have a battery life at least 40%++ more than the X. Maybe even more. This is a big enough reason to upgrade.

128GB base with 1TB at the top.

The high margin associated with flash is attractive for Apple. Consumers will continue to pick the middle option (256GB/512GB) as most don’t want a base model iPhone. Look at the refreshed iPod Touch with 256GB. How many consumers need 256GB for music?

How did you derive to that conclusion on ‘Most don’t want a base model’? Isn’t that one of the reasons why consumers were choosing the base model iPhone with the X/XS because of the inflation of the price points? [Seems it was was when those were the first models to slip in preordering.] Generally consumers simply can’t afford to pay the price point difference for the higher storage models (or) they’re under the notion that they don’t need to the additional storage, which is why they opt for the cheaper/lowest storage possible.

Most consumers simply don't know how much storage they need. iOS makes this more difficult by hiding the file sizes.

When consumers are presented with three options, they tend to choose the middle option. They're reluctant to choose the base option as they fear it may be insufficient.

When sales are slow, it makes sense to bump the base storage to 128GB to encourage upgrades. There's a significant oversupply of DRAM and NAND which makes it easier for Apple.

In regard to declining sales, growing competition and a probable Chinese tariff retaliation, Apple will try to defend its market share. Therefore, I'm pretty certain that Apple will introduce a 128 GB basemodel, including a fast charger, while staying with the same prices (at least in non-US countries).

I think if Apple at least includes a fast charger in the box this year, and they retain the same price point, that will At least take some of the pressure off that they’re not increasing the cost by not providing the customer with some other incentive. The only thing is, does Apple actually discuss during the keynote that there including a fast charger for anyone to know about it?

128gb base model with a fast charger in the box would be an instant buy for me but I think it’ll be 64gb with the standard 5w charger lol.

It would be nice to have the iPhone 11 differ from the iPhone 11R with the base 11 having 128gb of storage with a fast charger in the box and the 11R having 64gb with a 5w charger in the box (make it a more premium product) but again I think that is just wishful thinking.

We're talking about the same company that charges for the iPod Touch: $200/32gb and $300/128gb.

I do hope they start at 128gb, but I'm sure they know it'll eat too much in their upsells. Therefore, the price gouging will continue.

Your comparison of the iPod touch and iPhone are really two different things that shouldn’t be compared, the iPod touch only offers a few storage options, compared to the iPhone, has much larger storage options. Also, consider the demographic for the iPod touch, likely a teenager, do they really need 128 GB of storage for a base price? (Which would also likely put the iPod out of reach for a starting price as well). Keep in mind, the iPod Touch is a basic media device, not a device someone’s taking 4K video or playing intensive games on that they might with one of the latest iPhone models.

That’s a great price for an iPod touch.
Apple is going to sell a lot of them.
