i still have not decided if I should upgrade to iOS 10 in day 1. I have tried iOS 10 Public Beta. While I can see the performance is OK, but I never really liked the new way to unlock, I dislike the new notification system. It is like crappy clone of Android's lock screen notification, but done worse. The big white buble is just ugly.

Anyway, who will update in day 1 and who will wait and see?

I have the PB installed on my 6s. I'm not sure if I'm going to update my SE to iOS 10 on day one. I want to first see how the battery life is on the SE on iOS 10 since it's pretty great on iOS 9.

I'll stay in the Beta program, so yes! I'll update until the following beta comes out.

I installed iOS 10 June 13th and always intended to keep moving forward, not remain on older software. I don't worry about the stupid little things of "oh but this version of iOS looks like this or does that differently". Who cares about all that idiotic stuff and just use the damn device. I swear some of the users around here would not update based on if Apple changed the colour of something in iOS and complain it's unusable because they prefer the older colour.

Thanks for all the reply. Very nice to see the people want to update in day 1.

I decided to upgrade one of my iPhone SE and iPhone 6S to iOS 10. I will run for while, then decide if I would update for all my devices

this is a forum about the beta, so reasonable that most here are running ios 10 now, and will continue with the updates until the final version... then install that. it would probably make more sense to post this on the ios9 forum...

Not always! I ran iOS 10 beta for a long time on my iPad Air before finally jumping to it on my iPhone. My iPad is a "luxury" device and if it becomes unusable for a bit it's not the end of the world. My phone on the other hand has to work, so I didn't install the beta until I was comfortable that the early bugs were gone.

So I bet there's at least a few others in my position, running iOS 10 on secondary devices, or hell, just curious about it and reading the forum even though they haven't installed it at all.

exactly. "a few others". meanwhile, a LOT of people on the ios9 forum will (at least) consider the move to ios10 when it's formally released, while, probably, most of us running the ios10 betas will logically update to the final.

I will be updating straight away just to have the opportunity to test it one more time before the ‘downgrade’ window closes. I find very little compelling about iOS 10 and do find the UI changes in Notification Centre, lock screen, Music and Messages very problematic.

Why do you have the SE and 6S? Is one a test phone and the other the main phone?

Ill upgrade for my ipad on day one, but for my iphone i might wait and see if a new jailbreak comes out.

Only reason i use jailbreak is haptic feedback for the keyboard and with the taptic engine, it is absolutely awesome. One of the best touch screen typing experiences i've had.

I have always updated on day one and will continue to do so.

So my schedule for that day will be wake up, update my iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, MacBook Air and iMac while I go wash up. End goal - get everything updated before I leave for work.

Anyways, I live in Asia, so the update typically gets released at 2 am.

I'll wait until Apple decides to unf*ck Music.app, possibly around 10.3 I'd imagine.

Don’t wait for it. Just use a third-party alternative, like Cesium or Ecoute. These apps can access your music library, including Apple Music, and you can use them to listen to music without having to open the Music app. Basically the Music app with a different UI. Cesium and another messaging app will be adequate substitutes for some of the bitter changes of iOS 10.

I'm apprehensive because I'm now involved with the jailbreak scene. I always used to upgrade to new iOS versions from the first day but this year I'm not likely to. I will try and wait on iOS 9.3.3 until a jailbreak drops.

Ahh I miss the excitement of upgrading to a new totally new iOS version but having the betas for the whole summer now makes it not quite as exciting.

I probably won't run the betas anymore though due to being jailbroken. I'm not that reliant on a jailbreak, like I could go stock and be fine. I just prefer to mess with the little things.

I can't upgrade until iOS 10 jailbreaks comes out. I learnt my lesson after upgrading from 9.0.2 to 9.2.1 and I am not falling for iOS 10 again!
