Are you update iOS 10 in day one?

I have been running it on my iPhone since Apple released it in beta. I have been running it on my iPad since developer beta 5. It has been amazing and I can't wait until its out and the app store gets flooded with all these new features!

I have been running all the betas on my 6S Plus, and I will of course install the GM as soon as it is available.

I assume I should remove the beta profile before updating to GM when it is available, right?

Has the GM all the diagnostic options disabled? Could the device experience some kind of boost in battery/performance after installing the GM?

GM = Golden Master seed, so most likely the same version that will be released as the final version to the public - unless something really critical occurs after the GM is released.

I'm waiting. I currently have an iPhone 5 but I get to upgrade to the 6s at the end of the year, so I'll wait until I get a phone that can run it well.

Just wondering out loud if Apple will pull a fast one and go to general release of all the different OS'es next Tuesday rather than waiting till 2 days before hardware release? Is there a development need to have the hiatus?

They will likely just do a GM as they usually do. There's really no need to rush it for some reason and do it differently. I mean anything is possible, but it doesn't seem like there's anything that is making that a likely possibility.

i still have not decided if I should upgrade to iOS 10 in day 1. I have tried iOS 10 Public Beta. While I can see the performance is OK, but I never really liked the new way to unlock, I dislike the new notification system. It is like crappy clone of Android's lock screen notification, but done worse. The big white buble is just ugly.

Anyway, who will update in day 1 and who will wait and see?

You should add another choice of "I've been on iOS 10 Since Beta 1" as most of us have.

Running the latest iOS 10 beta on my iPhone 7 and iPad Pro 9.7, my only iOS devices. Both devices run well for me even if a few apps still need some TLC. I can't see any reason not to upgrade for immediately for these devices. Apps will catch up quickly, or I will move on. Keep moving forward.

Probably within a day or two. I like to have a wait and see attitude about, just in case there's some really bad bug. I'll be putting it on my 5S, so I'm sure there are some features I won't be able to take advantage of anyway. A day or so delay won't hurt me. Then I can just hang out here and see what's causing tears and angst.

Been using IOS 10 since the first dev to test my applications, make sure they are ready. Once GM is active, I'll revert back to IOS 9 on my 6s Plus on the off chance I end up selling it soon. Whoever buys it can then decide to upgrade it.

I'm currently runnning the beta and it's now running as well for me as iOS9 did. I've removed the profile so that the next update I get is the GM. Looking forward to p2p payments in the future with Apple Pay.
