Who is selling their MBP for the new MBA? I'm strongly considering it for better portability mainly and now that the MBAs have a modern CPU, it makes it a bit easier decision to pull the trigger. Anybody else?

I am going to sell my MBP 2011 for an MBA. I need the better resolution and smaller weight. I just don't know how I can sell my MBP for top dollar.

I am selling my 2009 MacBook Pro! I already ordered the 11.6 MBA so as soon as I migrate things over, the MacBook Pro is going on Ebay!

Already did. Sold my 15" 2008 Unibody MacBook Pro for a 11" MacBook Air. I've been reading that the machine is great for programming and I decided to make the jump. I like it. Kinda debating about going to a 13" MBA but I think I'm fine honestly.

The advancement of Sandy Bridge allows me to Replace my 09 MBP 15" with an Air so it's pretty exciting. The only problems are deciding between 11" vs 13" and waiting for Thunderbolt drives to become reality.

I'm probably going to wait until the MBA 13 gets dedicated graphics. Then I'll give my MBP 13 C2D 2.4 to my brother and upgrade to the MBA 13 top of the line.

i just put my mid 2009 macbook pro 13 on ebay today. two months ago i put 8gb of RAM in and i just spent $50 on a WD 500 gb hard drive to upgrade it. i know this wasn't necessary but for minimal effort and money from me i thought it might make my MBP more appealing to someone wanting to buy. it's also in pristine condition with an awesome battery so should fetch top dollar.

i'm hoping to get 1000-1100 from it but we'll see.

not me. mba is great. mbp is better for my needs. i'd only consider it if my work changed drastically to demand portability over power.

I finally managed to unload my 13" 2010 MBP on Amazon earlier this week, and I'm waiting until I get back from China in three weeks to get my 11" Air. Which also happens to be Tax Free Weekend :) So excited!

Not selling but upgrading from my 08 MBP, might sell it in the future and use the money towards a thunderbolt display.

How much did you guys sell your 2010 MBP 13" for? Not sure what price to list mines at on Craigslist. I'm thinking $800?

I started a little higher, but with nobody interested ended up at $850. I'm satisfied, I guess. Looking back, probably should have sold it before the one-year mark so they could still get AppleCare...

Selling my 2010 base 13" MPB for new base 11" Macbook Air, after trying the 11" (I'm on it now) i fell in love. The keys are nicer to type on , the resolution is better and its much more portable for college, and wayyyy faster, plus i got nearly the cost of it back on my macbook pro, my warranty runs out on the MPB next couple of weeks and I get €100 euro of mac app store credit free and student discount! :D why wouldn't I?

I'm very close to making the decision. Just need to get my head around how I will use an external hard drive to store my photos/videos on as my current 2009 aluminium Macbook has a 500GB hard drive with over 300GB full.
Anyone know if you can use an external hard drive for both data storage aswell as time machine backups?
Part of me is tempted to wait until the next MacBook Pro refresh as I think we'll see SSD drives arriving but still won't be anywhere near big enough.

Selling my Early 2008 MBP MB133LL/A. It was my favorite laptop too. Hoping this Air makes me fall in love once again tonight when it shows up on my doorstep.
