I’ve tracked iPhones for the last 8 years and once it lands in your regional facility, Apple will change it from Preparing for Shipment to Shipped. The time taken from China to leaving Anchorage is about 2-3 days.
Do you have a UPS MyChoice account? It's free and you'll be able to see your tracking there, as long as you set up name, phone number, address, etc exactly as it is on your Apple order.mine is still in "preparing to ship" no email notification or shipping number yet....
Name is a little different but my choice says no items in transit. 😢 and still no movement from Apple.

Same! I am picking my phone up at the Apple store Friday and got charged. But I had a bit of a hiccup and I got scared lol when I woke up Monday morning I got a notification that my bank declined the order and I had to verify I approved the purchase. Luckily I was able to go in and update my payment then it went back to processing. Can’t wait for Friday!
My order status got updated to "Ready for Pickup" about half an hour ago! Now for the interminable 16-hour wait for my pickup window.
Interesting that the instructions didn't say I wasn't allowed to arrive outside my window (before or after), just that if I do I will need to wait much longer due to covid restrictions.
I too have a lot of Chase points and wanted to take advantage of the reserve card extra redemption but when it said 4 to 6 weeks I decided to just pay in full and build up some more points...lol so i ordered through Chase as i had too many points to blow. was up at 5am, but the UR store didn't refresh for half an hour, so i went back to bed until 9. ordered a graphite 256 max pro and a PB 128 max pro for my partner.
called chase today and asked them for an estimated shipping--"dec 14-29"
Sitting at my Zoom office hours with my window open (in Florida) and the UPS guy just handed me my new phone and signed for me!
(But I need to update my old phone and update my Watch and I want to make a computer backup just in case so it'll be a while before I get started with the new phone. I guess with tropical storm Eta I wasn't really focused on today.)

Picked up mine at the Apple Store yesterday. So much better than waiting for delivery. There was a short line but a few people were there to manage it and I was checked in less than a minute after I got there. And less than 2 minutes after that someone was out with my phone.
As for the phone itself, it’s great! The photos I’ve taken so far are such an improvement over the X I previously had, which already took decent pics. I haven’t had any problems getting used to the heft. I think it’s going to take me longer to get used to force touch being gone.
