No they are not because pictures get compressed and you can’t tell the difference anymore.
For the fact they they talked about the camera for almost half of the keynote, the improvements are slim to none for the regular 12 Pro.
No tech has not plateaued.
You could make the notch and the bezels smaller, finally include a 120hz screen (which makes a huge difference, just try it), finally include usb C, include Starlink compatibility
- it’s not that people are “bothered” by the notch but it wouldstill be nice to get ride of it. People are also not bothered by 4G but 5G ist still nice to have.

I’m sure Apple like any other company has product roadmaps and plans things out but the notion that they have hardware features ready to go yet purposely don’t ship them? That’s ridiculous. As ridiculous as those who say Apple purposely limits supply of products at launch to make demand seem greater than it is.Apple is king at holding back features to release slowly to get people to buy new phones.
Guarantee you no one outside of the VERY ONLINE techies/gamers knows or cares about 120Hz.It does matter..why do you think there was so much fuss about the new LG TVs with HDMI 2.1 possibly not being about to do 120hz with the new consoles? Because it matters. It is a big difference and people care about it
I just dont understand this argument. If we have 'peaked' as you say, then why do we still have the notch and other phones dont? Notchless phones are extremely common now. To keep excusing Apple by saying we have peaked and the camera is the only thing that can be upgraded is again letting them off the hook and excusing them.I care about the camera upgrades but that’s because my wife and I take a lot of pictures of our kids. We can have a discussion about how much the incremental improvement is worth. As far as the focus on cameras in iPhones (focus....get it???) I think until new battery technology comes along we’ve sort of peaked on groundbreaking physical features. That’s just my opinion though.
Then I 100% understand why you would buy one. I just think Apple need to concentrate more and ‘give’ more to those of us who are not photographers or photo enthusiasts and just want some nice NEW tech in our phones.Which surely must be the majority of iPhone owners.
It’s not that at all. It often has to do with how one comes across with their tone. There are plenty here who see fault in Apple’s approach. But throughout this thread, you’ve taken issue with anyone not sharing your view, labeled them, yet gushed over anyone sharing your same opinion.Unless every post is
I worship Apple, Everything they do is perfect, They make zero bad choices or products
.....then you risk being crucified
I’m not excusing them. I just think we’re hampered by batteries for now. I guess getting rid of the notch would be nice but I can’t imagine any bigger case of excusing them than acting like removing the notch would be some groundbreaking innovation.I just dont understand this argument. We need to stop doing that!
I think you touched upon a great point here. We live in a world where we're encouraged to be "ourselves" meaning embrace the differences that separate ourselves from others, yet when someone doesn't share a similar opinion, we can be quick to bash that opinion. I don't get it. Life's too short in my opinion. Sorry for the venting, end of sermon...It’s not that at all. It often has to do with how one comes across with their tone. Saying that many people prefer the camera over anything else isnt flaming nor being a fanboy. I saw the wants you have. I don’t share those same wants. Doesn’t make either of us right or wrong. But I don’t go slamming others as fanboys simply because they don’t agree with my post.
To those i labelled as a fan boy, it was simply because i was giving them facts and examples of the technology that is readily available to use but they refused to acknowledge it or labelled it as inferior, simply because Apple is not using it.It’s not that at all. Oh I read fine. I just found it funny how this had devolved into a few people going back and forth with "Thank you" and Amen" and "LOLYEAH" while they bashed every decision Apple has made with the last few phones. Yeah, we all get it. Apple moves at a snail's pace compared to other phone manufacturers. Yeah, Apple likes to take their time to do things their own way so it stands out from the crowd. I'm not justifying it but FFS why does there constantly have to be threads about it? "Apple dropped the ball!", "Apple is DOOOOOMED", "My Android from 2009 does this, why can't Apple?!?", and so on and so forth.Again, someone who cannot read and just going on the defensive. If you actually took the time to look at what said i clearly stated i dont hate iPhones at all. I used one every day, along with an Apple watch.
I agree. It would be nice to see some big improvement in battery technology. It will be interesting to see the drop / scratch tests etc for the new glass
BTW I have just gone through all my posts and up until post 118 all i did was try to answer peoples views with examples and facts. It was only at post 118 that someone took a pop at me that the tone changed. So please dont try to make out like i was the one starting agro. Thank you. It’s not that at all. More fabrication. Show me where i used the word 'sheep' please. If you have to vent about their lack of innovation, write Tim a letter instead of coming here and calling everybody who disagrees or doesn't mind the slow pace "fanbois" and "sheep"
I may have quoted you, but there's a lot of things in that post that weren't directed at you. If you felt attacked, I apologize.More fabrication. Show me where i used the word 'sheep' please.
Accepted. Thank you.I may have quoted you, but there's a lot of things in that post that weren't directed at you. If you felt attacked, I apologize.

People continue to buy iPhones in droves because they're nice phones. Apple is also head and shoulders above everybody else when it comes to customer service. The ecosystem is second to none. If you have to vent about their lack of innovation, write Tim a letter instead of coming here and calling everybody who disagrees or doesn't mind the slow pace "fanbois" and "sheep".
I dunno about you but the battery on my 11 Pro was a massive improvement over my XS. What are we talking here? Days without charge?
You're welcome.Accepted. Thank you.
LOL...probably the 12You're welcome.
Now tell us, which phone are you buying? 😁
Again..not being a photo enthusiasts can you HONESTLY tell me you can see a huge difference in quality for just the odd social and travel snap? I highly doubt the majority of people can or even care
Which was exactly my point
