I don't regret it, though I do wish I could get another :p

Its kinda sad that even with a friend helping us out with their apple employee purchase program this thing came out to $2850ish before applecare (from when the 15" 2.16 was a BTO option), and I could get the same thing with no whine, no warped case, probably running cooler, with DL superdrive, bigger HD, faster processor, and the RAM I had to pay so much extra for included for $2499.

But I would not give up the past 7 months of having had my MBP.

The only thing that bothers me about the upgrade was the Dual-layered burner that was added (I'm still upset they aren't in the original model).

Speaking of that, does anyone know if its possible to replace the burner in the old MBP with the DL-burner from the new ones (would an Apple-store do that?).
