iPad 3 on iOS 6 went to dad for Facebook and YouTube.
Is he still able to use FT on iOS 6?
My understanding was the certificate expired and only recourse was to upgrade to ios7 or higher.

He doesn't use FaceTime anyway. Actually, I don't think he even knows the iPad can be used for FaceTime. Is he still able to use FT on iOS 6?

Mine is pretty much useless since it's so old.. iPad Mini first gen..
It's extremely slow and laggy running iOS8. It's unbearbly slow and so I just end up turning it off and using my Desktop/laptop/iPhone..Why's that?
My sis has a 1st generation Mini also.
I use an app called duet to turn it into a third monitor, since it's a rather small screen I tend to only place things which I look at occasionally, i.e. a few different terminal windows or perhaps the mail app

I have a "new iPad" (third gen) and it still works ok. It's primary used as a virtual guitar amp through GarageBand and it can only use an older version of GarageBand at that, and secondary usage is just web surfing. I'll likely upgrade to a new iPad to get something that's a bit swifter, but to be perfectly honest it's still usable. Slow, but usable.
The battery seems to be on the way out, and that's my biggest concern right now that the battery could fail and there could be a fire risk. Not that I'm expecting it to burst into flames at any second, but I'm more concerned about the battery than I am about the actual performance of the iPad right now.

I use mine as second monitor with my MBP. Bought a flexible gooseneck arm and attached to my desk. I use Duet Display app. Looks and works great!
No. Laptop is basically used at home.Do you carry it with you in your laptop backpack?

This is actually probably a really good use for the ipad 2.
Can also be used as a sketchpad with astro pad app?

So.... you have an ipad mini for sale?
Sure do you want to buy it? lol
I believe it, just like all those AOL CD - ROMs that used to come in the mail all the time made great coasters. It makes for a rather spiffy serving tray. I'm not kidding.
Hmm, pretty partial to this usageIt makes for a rather spiffy serving tray. I'm not kidding.
I never kept those around. But I wish I did because I later learned you could use a oceanic grade epoxy and then grind them down into lures. I knew some people who'd use them as shooting targets.I believe it, just like all those AOL CD - ROMs that used to come in the mail all the time made great coasters.
