The passcode lock on your iPhone? I set mine to lock after 5 mins. I think this is one little great feature on the phone.

Yeah mine is mostly my friends and girls lol if you lay a iPhone down anywhere someone is going to pick it up
 
I turn it on and off depending on the situation or location.

for instance, when I'm home or in the office where I'm pretty secure I leave it off. When traveling, then its enabled and set to reset the phone after x number of tries.
 
I use it.

There's too much information on my phone to risk it getting in the wrong hands. It also means if I lose it or if anyone steals it, it can't be switched off so I can still use the MobileMe find my phone and remote wipe features.
 
Me but on my iPod Touch. There is a lot of valuable data in that gadget that I don't want exposed to the world! :D
 
I don't, pain in the A I think... I feel secure and don't care about people picking up my phone.
 
Was a pain, so I stopped using it. Then I started thinking about it, and Im ok with compromising convienience for security.
Every 1 hour it locks.
 
I do. College student and live in a frat house people try and mess around on it so I just keep my phone locked
 
if you enable it does that mean that you have to enter your password every time the phone rings?
I would like to enable the pass code but I'm afraid I would miss calls fumbling to enter the code every time it rings. Or am I wrong?

No, it does not come up for phone calls.
 
I use it too. I keep it on a 1 minute lock just in case I need to unlock it again after locking it.
 
I put mine on if I am at a friends because I tend to leave it on a table while playing Beer pong and I don't necessarly want people I don't know messing with my phone.
 
With all the information one can have on the iPhone, realizing that an unsecured phone can be used/erased/more easily stolen, one would need to be a fool not to have it lock. Mine is on 1 minute of inactivity. Entering a 4 digit code is small inconvenience for a bit of piece of mind. You have to be pretty lazy to think it's "too much trouble" to have it locked.

Best place for you iPhone during a party is in your pocket. I wouldnt never leave mine out on a table around a bunch of people I don't know at a party
 
Mine is always set for 15 minutes, but I just started using it a month ago. I didn't realize how easy it was for my fiance to just pick it up and scroll through my emails. Now she's mad and berates me everytime I angle the phone away from her when I unlock it. I just can't win...

No I believe it works the same as one without a passcode
 
I used to but I gave it up because it was really annoying. I don't mind my friends using it and the only time it's out of my pocket is when at work or at home and I trust everyone in both places. I ended up having to give them my password to unlock it anyways so the only protection would be if it was stolen. In my daily life that would be very very unlikely to happen.

This. I can see obvious situations where the need to protect the contents from people would come up, but they're so few and far between that I don't use it on a regular basis. Work is the normal situation where I'd most want to use it, but since I work from home the only ones I'd be protecting the data from are me and the cat. :)
 
I usually lock it manually, but I also have it set on 2 minute timer (just in case I forget).
