I use it.

There's too much information on my phone to risk it getting in the wrong hands. It also means if I lose it or if anyone steals it, it can't be switched off so I can still use the MobileMe find my phone and remote wipe features.

hummm you can still power the phone even if the password option is on .....

I used to use it not realizing that there was a timer so it was annoying and I stopped. Now that I realize it can lock after a certain amount of time I think I'll do 1 hour. Does that mean it will require a passcode if it's not touched at all after 1 hour?

I use and set to lock after 5 minutes at all times. Also have the delete feature enabled

ME!!! I don't want my personal info to be looked at if it ever gets stolen.

Plus my mom would look at all of my texts/emails with my dad because they are in the middle of fighting and a possible divorce....so yeah. :(

I'd like to use it for the security, but it sounds like it would be a PITA. I also use my phone as my alarm clock, so if you have to insert the pass code before you can turn off the alarm (not sure if you have to) then that would make it an even further PITA.

But it would make sure you were "up" ;)

I wish it didn't lock the whole phone, but just specific apps you select.

For example have SMS, Mail and other 3rd party apps.

For now I just use Videosafe to keep photos hidden, but I would like to be able to lock my SMS app and Mail app without locking the whole phone.

You do not have to put in the passcode to turn off the alarm or to sleep the alarm. Just like if the phone rings, you can answer it without putting in the passcode.
