The first beta of iOS 10 (and following ones) was quite stable. I hope that iOS 11 betas will be stable for daily use, too.

My biggest concern is that I have Apple Watch and I don't want to risk and install beta software on it, as I live in Bulgaria where the Watch is not sold officially and I doubt that somebody will be able to reset it if it gets bricked.

There are some apps I can't survive without so i'll be waiting for the good thread which lists compatibility :)

I'll be really tempted if there's a dark mode but from the past I've learned to wait on installing on main device as first betas are typically so unstable.

Oh definitely me. And now that the Files app has been leaked and we know we are getting a file system, I'm praying we are getting Hard Drive support with a dongle also...

Now I'm thinking "I'll hold off until tomorrow to see if it's stable enough". After the keynote I'll be hitting install immediately, I know myself. I'll at least will try to hold off on the WatchOS beta as it's such a hassle if it bricks. MacOS I'll install on my MacBook but will probably wait on my main work machine the iMac. At least, that's the plan hahaha.

I'll let you guys take all the hits, the disappointments when bits don't work, the frustration that goes with it. I have become quite relaxed about not installing anything until xx.2 (usually around January) when all the bugs have been ironed out.
p.s. I have no idea what 'dark mode' is ;-)

Also I'll install it if it works with the AirPods which I finally just got. Otherwise will browse forums to get the excitement without installing it myself

Time to back up to iTunes and download ipsw files in case of restore. 4 hours to go!!!
Meanwhile my unopened replacement iPad Pro I just got yesterday is sitting on my desk. Waiting to see what they announce today in terms of iPads and if I like the 10.5, I may sell this one as basically new and get the refreshed one.

What's the PX in Stuttgart?

PX = Post Exchange. It's the US Army version of a department store.

Each branch of service has their own version. Each called something slightly different.
Base Exchange for US Air Force (BX)
US Marine Corp Exchange (MCX)
US Navy (NEX)

Yep, my iPhone 7 and iPhone 6 Plus are getting the beta (gotta keep my 6s on 10.2 for jailbreak) well as my Apple Watch and Apple TV

I'll be updating my iPad, iPhone, MacBook Pro, iMac and Watch to the betas. I'll leave my work iPhone on iOS 10 as it's a 5c and I probably won't have a choice o_O

All in, I like it! The only one I didn't do last year was my MacBook Pro, until the public beta. This year I probably won't update the Mac till public as I really have come to rely on it more for work and school.

I'll be doing clones to external disk prior to all the betas dropping. If I hit a breaking change, I'll restore. I'm hoping the biggest changes are to WatchOS and iOS on iPad.

Edit: And if they drop a 10.5" iPad Pro, I'm all over it.

I 100% will be... I've been going Day 1 to final day of GM every major version of iOS since iOS 7. Really fun to ride it out despite any issues, as well as to see how much it evolves from Beta 1/announcement to the final version.

I have been a day one since iOS 7 but might have to wait it out on this one. Going on a trip starting tomorrow, and don't want to compromise being able to use my phone.

I am going to be the same way.

Depending on the new features I suppose. I'm on 10.3.1 and still holding out hope for a jailbreak. Either way, I'm so excited! Zero work is getting done today lol!

Last year there wasn't anything extremely bad in the first beta. All the usual minor annoyances but nothing horrible. Hoping iOS 11 ends up being the same.
Will you all be doing it on your daily iPhone or a secondary one (or iPad)?

iPhone and iPad for sure.
