Just download the installer and update that way.
@Irishman: There is actually no way to do a clean install except by rebooting with Cmd+R and using the internet recovery mode (or a USB stick), so don't worry.

I installed it a couple of hours ago. I don't see any issues so far. I'm also running Vmware 8.5 and it's working as it always does.Normally if I can't wait, I'll make a 300GB partition on my drive and install it there to use and test.
Contacted apple, why not its still in apple care cover and ended up doing a reinstall, no issues since thenSorry to hear that but I have none of those issues. My computer is rock solid. Maybe some of your 3rd party software isn't Sierra ready yet.
