In a coffee shop.
The De Ville is such a timeless watch. Truly classic design by Omega. Consider me jealous!

Actually, I bought it eleven years ago, as a belated Christmas gift to myself, and had been eyeing it for at least three years prior to that.

It is based on those old elegant, but uderstated, classic Omega designs from the 1950s, and 1960s, with a cream face, stainless steel Dauphine hands, and Arabic numerals at the 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 positions, and I love it, and have worn it daily since the day I first purchased it.

Personally would rather buy a Tudor these days rather than pay Rolex and Omega prices, especially anything <40mm.

I feel you. Tudor has been on absolute fire recently. I know it’s a cliched opinion in watch communities, but my god is the BB58 line up absolutely amazing.

I’m not even that much of a dive watch guy, but Tudor has really been making my head turn as of late.

The Black-Gold and Blue dial variants are just stunning. My favorites from the line up. Someone actually posted the blue dial one a few pages ago on this thread!

PS: This is not my pic, I got it from Google. I wish it was though!

They are really great. Was debating between this and my Seamaster 300 which I got in the end

The Seamaster 300 is such a striking, confident watch. Perfect combination of understated yet bold. The particular shade of black Omega has used on the watchface is one of my favorite finishes on a dial of all time.

Also, the Seamaster 300 has one of my favorite pairs of watch hands in any watch ever!

Well, I picked it, she bought it. ? ?

The blue dial was the main factor for me when picking it and the strap looks and feels amazing, which was more of a bonus.

Ah, a proxy self-present. How can one ever be disappointed with that!

You definitely did good on this one. Brietling’s are reliable and quality timepieces. Glad you’re enjoying it!

I've got this big boy, but I don't wear it much since I got the Apple Watch.

I feel guilty for not wearing it but when I do wear it I feel guilty for not taking advantages of all the things that the Apple Watch could do for me ?
Solution: Double wristing ? I have been doing it for over 2 years now. It was a bit awkward in the beginning, but I quickly got used to it.

You're guilty as proved! Wearing an Apple watch instead of an Oris. Isn't there a law against that.....;)
Seriously though, it's a pity that Oris are not more widely known, one usually gets a lot of watch for your money.
I must take a few shots of my somewhat unusual Oris to show here.

I considered doing that for a while. But ultimately I realized I don't quite need the Apple Watch just yet. For me, it would just be an iPhone on my wrist and I'm not in dire need of it's health features yet.

Maybe when I'm older and need to be more vigilant about my health. The Apple Watch will probably be moot by then anyway, we'll all be using the Apple Neurochip ?

Right there with you...I am a great admirer of Oris!

Please do post your watch when you find a moment to do so, I would absolutely love to see it.

I posted a pic of my own obscure vintage Oris a few pages ago. The eBay seller said it was from the 1930s but didn't know the Reference Number, so I directly got in touch with Oris. They said that if I sent them a picture of the movement they could help me out with that information, so I look forward to doing that the next time I get it serviced.

Anyway, here it is :)

My newest watch; a Casio G-Shock GW-7900B-1ER. I do like traditional watches too, however, with two young children constantly climbing and jumping all over me I wanted something robust and I really like the look of this. It has tons of features which I'll probably never use but I like it nonetheless!

Love a good G-Shock. It's the ultimate tool watch and i'm glad it serves its purpose with you!
