I dont understand why people buy 500 dollar watches....they all have the same job, just to tell what time it is!

...And this is coming from a person who buys 300 dollar sunglasses lol :D

Checkmate. ;)

I think everyone has something (if not many things!) they like to spend that little extra on, knowing full well it may not exactly be "necessary". Everything in moderation of course.

oh did someone mention RADO? Man they are just stunning! Here's my lil baby!

You're the only other person I know with a Ceramica.

Do you polish yours a lot and use it to reflect sunlight into peoples eyes?

When speaking about excess and moderation, check out my sig - right back atcha. ;)

All I meant was that I don't buy the highest end of everything I own. Certain things, I'm happy with just the standard offerings, and other things, I like to treat myself to. But yeah, excess is cool in the right context.

I like watches - they're the only jewelry I wear, really. I have several, none too expensive though (under $500). my current fav is a swiss army watch. no pics though (I'm at work).

I love tags though. thought about getting one several times, but I alsways end up blowing the money on something else instead...

Show me where I can get an Omega for $500 and I'll buy 2 of 'em ;) I was lucky to get my Speedmaster for $1500, and my Tag Heuer for $800. Normally they're twice as much.

I could never spend more than $50 on a pair of sunglasses. More than that, what's the point? They are just pieces of plastic in front of your eyes. ;) I saw some brand sunglasses in Switzerland once that were over $900!!!   Smoldering smokestacks!! Who on God's green earth would spend that kind of money on sunglasses??

that's what i've got, a sieko actura kinetic. the first one they've done with the back where you can see the kinetic movement thingy :)

it's only £600 (US$1085) in you're finest jewellers, but i got it from a friend's dad, who works for them, for a quite decent £100.

oooh yeah.

You found a $1,000 watch on the beach??????? and it still worked????
A couple of years ago there was a story in the local paper about a guy who found a gold Rolex on the beach, that's got to be worth $5,000+.
He contacted Rolex, or handed to the Police who did, and they traced it by the serial number to a local guy who'd lost it a year earlier surfing, and it still worked

Me, I'd love a Rolex one day but for now I just got one of these to help me get fit

Most definitely bling...!

I was always fascinated by the Ceramica and the black Diastar, the fact that Rado use ceramics and hard-metals is a great bonus, I've had my Ceramica for 18 months, wear it every day and it doesn't have a mark on it.

Fabulous watches.
