Here are mine...
Wow, it took me about a week to go trough these 5 years of postings, but I didn't want to post before reading all the posts in the thread
I know citizen watches are not expensive-nice, but I really love them, they are great keeping time, are resistant, the titanium ones are really light and almost all are solar powered. In a way you can say they are budget-conscious nice. I have 2 citizen's and a couple of even cheaper watches for variety (an invicta and a Stührling that I got on amazon, plus a timex IronMan i use when I go for a swim or for a run).
I was interested on a Rolex milgauss for the anti-magnetic properties, and was saving to get one (financed) when I discovered its anti-magnetic rating (0.1 Tesla) was not enough for what I planed to use it for (on the MRI room and during rTMS). Enter the new Omega Seamaster AquaTerra 15,000 gauss (yes, it is 15 times more resistant to magnetism, and just barely enough to use inside the MRI room). So now I'm saving to get "my" new Omega. Which, BTW, is a lot cheaper than the Milgauss
*I took this from a magazine*
This citizen has been my daily driver for the last year, it has an alarm, different time zones, it's radio-controlled, solar-powered and when you program the day-month-year it changes from DST to "normal" time automatically and without any user intervention. The chronograph second's hand moves in 200 milliseconds intervals. I am so geeked out over it.
These are my other watches:
My "oldest" watch is the titanium eco-drive, it has been with me trough at least 2 transcontinental movings, and has dived in the mare nostrum, in the atlantic (the gulf of Mexico and in the caribbean) and in the pacific. I just had to replace the screw on the crown once in the 5 years I've had it.
The IronMan is cheap but trustable and a great sport's watch. Both the invicta and the stührling are nice-looking but mediocre-quality watches. They haven't yet failed to keep time in 2 years, though. And since I haven't used the Stührling in a long time, it still displays the DST.
I had a citizen eco drive for four years... and I think I want something slightly different. I don't want to be reminded of my old watch all the time...
2 and a half years later, but may I suggest the radio-controlled multi-time zone citizen? What did you got?
Are there any watches out there for guys like me with big wrists? I love me a nice watch but can never find one that fits..
It's been a year since you posted, but If you are still looking, the invicta Russian Pro Diver should fit a big wristed guy like you.
Already kinda scratched up :/ (got it around Christmas)
Just picked this up yesterday, nice and understated just how I like it
. Also matches my phone and my guitar
haha
Hey, 2 more lefties! Nice!
Any nice analog radio controlled watches ?
... Does anyone know of a similar radio controlled solar powered watch that actually works?
Yes, I can vouch for my model of Citizen!
