ok???? ya the code is the same, but we all have different settings, apps, etc installed on our devices....

based on your logic, why doesn't every user have these battery problems? Why didn't this update fix the problem for every single person?

And stop trying to defend apple as if they don't release broken/buggy software, because it DOES happen. Why was there a huge security hole in iOS if it's not a "bad build"???? how do developers find exploits that allow us to jailbreak and unlock our devices if apple doesn't release bad builds? No iOS version will EVER be perfect. Your logic doesn't even make sense.

You just described something that was a problem and affected all users....I never said they don't ever release bad software....I said there is NO WAY you and a handful of other people got a different build than everyone else. Everyone gets the same thing....one problem will be present for ALL USERS, not just you.

Just recieved my 4s 32GB today =] Loving it so far, the only thing is the battery is kinda killin me. I let it fully charge to 100% before I unplugged it, just to see how much time i can get out of it. When im using it (browsing internet, games, text, etc) it drains 1% just about every few minutes.
Heres my usage details:
Usage: 55 minutes
Standby: 1hour, 49 minutes
86%

Im still on 5.0, and didn't update to 5.0.1 yet. Should I? I plan on JBing once available, but the most important thing is the battery, so should I go ahead and update?

After waiting a few days and researching, seeing the posts of people that have done the update to 5.0.1, I see no reason to. My battery life is OK and there are too many people reporting worse battery life. I think Apple rushed this update way too soon because they wanted to placate the masses of upset 4S new owners. Selling new 4S's is the bottom line right now. There will be a better update soon, I will wait for that.

I am not planning on updating to 5.01 as my 4S seems to be fine. Charged it to 100% last night and this morning it is still at 100%. WiFi is on, notifications are on as well. With light use I charge it every 2 to 3 days. So far very happy and see no reason to update.
