I will not be purchasing a new notebook until Apple releases a smaller model, Pro or otherwise.
I ordered a 2GHz whitebook with 2GB RAM upgrade [BTO takes longer, even though it's one. damn. chip.]
I think this is the third such thread yesterday/today so far.
I ordered a 2GHz whitebook with 2GB RAM and 80GB HDD yesterday. FedEx is cruelly going to deliver the sleeve and mouse today(!), but Apple still hasn't shipped the computer. They are teasing me.
Ive waited for a long time now, hoping for santa rosa in the Macbook, yet it hasn't come and I think I may just buy the black macbook now as they have just updated it. I figured i don't play games much anymore.... will it be fine for leopard when its released though?
Sweet, I just picked mine up about 2 hours ago. Wow, this thing is nearly on par with my iMac! I got the BlackBook "ultimate" edition with the 160GB, 2GB RAM and 2.16 C2D.
...and indeed, they beat their estimate by a day. That is, my Macbook is at home. Right now. FIVE MILES AWAY. And I am stuck at work for another seven hours. oh, the agonyI ordered a 2GHz whitebook with 2GB RAM upgrade [BTO takes longer, even though it's one. damn. chip.] on Tuesday at 9am California time (11pm Shanghai time). It shipped from Shanghai on Thursday at 4pm Shanghai time (2am California time). FedEx is saying that I will get it by next Tuesday (free shipping), but FedEx has been known to beat their estimates.
So there: if you're in California, you'll get it within a week.
Can you go much smaller than a 13in?? I don't think I could stand something that small. Heck, I'm trying to go to a 17in from a 15! (I'm used to dual 19in monitors on my Windows PC)
i am soon planning to get one.
i just have to wait till my brother's friend to buy my macbook pro. (hopefully sometime this week. . )
im always thinking that a 15.4 inch is too big for me. . not that portable when i have to travel walking distance to my place all the way to my friend's place up in the valley which kills me badly.
13.3 inch macbook should be light enough (somewhat). plus i always wanted a macbook instead of a macbook pro.
the macbook pro 15" is lighter than the macbook
No, it's about 1/2 a pound heavier.
wake n bake logic... you're right, i think i meant it is slimmer.
