Why are Airpods still so hard to get?

as someone who got airpods back in January, wow.

They are STILL 6 weeks out? wtf.
Anywho, hang in there i guess? Airpods are a natural part of my life now. I use them EVERY single day. They are truly amazing,

I feel the same way about the Solo3 as you all do about the AirPods. Maybe the magic is just having a solid wireless W1 headphone while also being blown away by the Beats' sound which I expected to be mediocre. I tried the AirPods and wasn't super impressed but it that may be because I already had the Solo3, which are better in most ways imo.

I'd like to try AirPods again for runs but feel like I may be better suited waiting for gen 2 or PowerBeats4 in the fall.

Having Bose QC35 which is great. Have the best noise canceling in the world but too big for running. Keyboard Dictation also is a drag when not in use. Needs AirPods for casual use.

AirPods are literally available at every Best Buy where I live (Edmonton Canada) .. Also available across other Canadian cities. I would highly recommend checking your local Best Buy ..

That's something i posted about yesterday. For me there's no single pair of perfect headphones which does everything. The AirPods are amazing in so many ways that they've become a big part of my daily routine at work and home, but they suck in other ways so I "need" at least one other set of headphones just now.

I've been looking every day since I got my new iPad Pro. I've been itching to put the $50 Gift Card from Best Buy as part of that deal towards AirPods. Still several weeks for delivery, though.
 
So when they say 6 weeks, they mean it huh? Bummer. I ordered mine last night. Soonest that finances would allow. Should see them end of July
 
Fair warning from someone who just got burned from ATT: ATT.com lists on their site that they have Airpods for sale. Suspiciously they don't list shipping dates but I heard others got them super fast - so I thought why not and throw down. Four days later with my order PENDING, I called and found out that they had "computer issues" and in fact did not have any Airpods to sell and ship out -_- Even now the site still lists it -__-
 
I have ordered a set in May 2017 with 6 weeks shipping. I just randomly checked my local Apple store for stock and sure enough they had them. Without hesitation, I ordered it and picked it up last week. I also cancel my online order.

I suggest everyone to check their store for stock daily.
 
When I ordered mine they said six weeks, it was exactly six weeks!

I know it doesn't always work, but has anyone contacted a best buy that said 'no stock' online but find they actually had some in the store?
 
Wow I think if you have the right twitter accounts you can grab them. I wasnt planning on getting them but 9to5 toys tweeted that best buy had them last week and i got them two days later.
 
I have been waiting for them to be available in store or even within 6 weeks on Apple's website.

Ordered them from Very.co.uk on Tuesday. Arrived Wednesday.

It's silly I can't get them from Apple but can from a third party.

Also: I really don't see many people wearing them. In London I've seen 3 people since launch. If SO many people are buying them why am I not seeing more?

I ordered mine from AT&T 6/14/2017 and had them in my hands the evening of 6/19/2017. Regular shipping. I did order it from within my AT&T account (in case they give priority to their customers).
 
For those in the US, try ordering from Best Buy and have them shipped to you. I ordered a pair on 6/21 with a "ship by" date of 7/11. I just checked my order today and they are preparing for shipment with a delivery date of 6/26. I'll update if BB comes through.

Edit: just received an email saying my order shipped

I just signed up TODAY for that IsInStock (thank you @db67fm). I've been checking the store every day for more than a week and Best Buy hasn't had them. IsInStock just notified me that they were available online and sure enough, I used my $50 Gift Card from their iPad Pro deal to get some decent savings. Should be here in a couple days.
 
its weird how they are not available at the Apple Store but easily to order elsewhere. i ordered a pair at the telekom shop last night and they shipped today

I ordered mine on 6/22 when @MuGeN PoWeR posted that ATT had them instock. I was skeptical at first since nothing had changed on my order status for a couple of days. However, I received notice that they had shipped yesterday. They tracking number says they should be here tomorrow.

Thanks @MuGeN PoWeR for posting about the ATT availability!
