Every time I look at my stock phone, I wanna puke. Every time I try and download something from the app store and it tells me it's over 100MB can't get it without wifi, I wanna puke. Why is Apple so far behind with the limitations of the features people want/need?

Well, I'm unlimited. Other than that, wouldn't it be nice to have the choice of how to use your data, instead of Apple telling me how I can use my data; even if it was limited?

You remember the massive kerfuffle Apple was in before the data caps in the App Store were implemented?

People and the media are too stupid to understand why their data caps are being hit.

Well, the choice should still be available. Default, the cap could be ON, so you can't download over 100MB via cellular. Then you have the option to turn that restriction OFF. Include the warning after you turn it off, "This will use data from your cellular plan, do you want to continue". Something to give us the choice. I can be away from wifi all day long and have to wait to download updates, apps, etc. I strongly dislike that. I've been keeping the faith that Apple will eventually give us that option, or have relied on jailbreak. I'd rather it be officially built into the iOS instead of me having to remove the restriction myself (j/b).

I mean, that's great an all, but good luck explaining to grandma about data caps and the like. Jailbreak all you want, Apple clearly aims for a unified customer experience vs. customization, that's never going to change.

It's been discussed ad nauseam for quite some time now:

iOS 10 addresses 100mb app download limit workaround
Still can't download 100mb + app over cellular? Really?
100 MB Download Limit Removed?
100 MB limit on cellular design non-sense
iOS 9 Apple limiting 100mb so stupid
Getting around the 100 mb download limit
Flashback to 2013 - Why an Apple-Imposed 100mb App Limit?
Why is there a 100MB download limit over cellular?

.. as was written in an older thread; can't download 101MB app, but can download and update unlimited 99MB apps. /shrugs

I guess I'm carrying on about it. Just wanted to get it off my chest I guess.

My favorite thing: That folks think Apple is in bed with carriers to increase users' bills, but this limit is still imposed on users (in 2016).

I agree that this is very annoying. I can stream Full HD videos on my unlimited plan with no restriction, but I can't download this new app right now until I get home

I agree that there should be the choice. Especially with T-Mobile's One plan (which I am on). I don't have to worry about any overages, ever.
Actually with VZW and ATT they have something like unlimited data too (throttles after monthly allotment) so apple should really consider adding a toggle or something.

If all of these things truly bother you that much, why do use iPhone? Why don't you move to something that suits your WANTS, because lets face it you don't NEED anything you've mention so far.

You want to puke just by looking at your phone? Why do you have such a phone?

It's really only one thing that bothers the OP. He shouldn't have to move to another OS just because one thing is annoying.

Based on what's mentioned in the OP it seems like it's more than one thing, even though that might be the only thing that was directly called out.

If something makes me nauseous, I refrain from doing it. Maybe that's just me though.
I apologize beforehand, as I really can't help myself.

Since you are knowledge bomb, I wanted to drop some English knowledge:

  • Nauseous is actually an adjective which describes the cause of the sick feelings.
  • Nauseated is the adjective which describes one who is suffering from the feelings.

"@iF34R 's phone was nauseous to him. Every time he thought about the 100mb limit, he became nauseated."

Apple's user base ranges from grandparents to people who are not tech savvy. Apple just tries its best to idiot-proof it's products and services.
