I thought we would be getting work phones since we are forced to download a bunch of apps and actively use our phones at work, but apparently not. So I am using my 14 pro max only. The only reason I would have two is if I had a dedicated work phone. Since we got the no on work phones I have toyed with the idea og buying a used 11 or se for work so that alle apps/emails/teams are on that phone and not taking up space or battery on my 14 pro max. But it seems a waste to spend money on that ultimately

Something else to consider on "work" phones; they usually have separate security and that security may be substantial. There could also be legal issues depending on the "work".

For that reason I keep mine separate.

One main phone, one backup (a different network, and just for emergency use / SMS 2FA codes)

I have 4- 8 plus, 14 plus, SE 3, and a Z Flip 4.

The Z Flip is from yet another failed attempt at switching back to android. I do this every freaking year- get bored with iOS, Samsung puts out something new and cool, and I think this is it, I'm going to switch for good this time. Nope, never sticks lol. It's a good phone but with all my computers being macs and all my friends & family being on iOS it's too much hassle to switch. I kept it b/c I was past the return period and it's still fun to play with, I might sell it soon idk.

So true. I do the same thing, almost every year, like clockwork. Almost did it with the S23, but when I told my kids about the potential, you would've thought I was disowning them as children. :) To their credit, we do use Screentime a LOT, and switching would've messed up my ability to approve things for them via iOS' parental controls.

I currently only have one phone. But I need to just bite the bullet and get a second phone for work - even if it's just on wi-fi for a time. Either that, or I make my current phone/# my work one, and get a new one that I keep separate, and only give the number out to a select few for important personal stuff, and keep work apps off of it.

I like the convenience of having access to every part of my life at my fingertips. I don't compulsively check my phone for social media and all that mess (I'm not on anything but Twitter for informational purposes). But I do compulsively check it for work stuff - because that's "justifiably productive" I've proven time and again I lack the discipline to ignore work when I need to ignore it. I work two jobs, and both have a decent amount of accessibility from my phone, so that makes it even easier to "justify" staying on top of work stuff.

I've continued to put this off, but for the sake of myself and my family, it would be really beneficial to do a better job of turning off work completely when I'm not actually working. Even with the two jobs, there's nothing that can't wait until I have dedicated work time!

All of that to say... I might have two phones very soon, and that's why! :)

In the past I used separate phones for my business and personal.

I decided to try the dual-sim path and enjoy the simplicity of having just the one phone for both lines. It works better than I expected as you can choose the default line you want to use for different contacts.

I have 2 phones but one of them is for emergencies, the details of which only apply to my family. If it weren't for that, I would have only one phone.

I have Apple and Android. I got the Android because I broke the iphone and needed an immediate replacement and Android was readily available. Now that I have both, I highly doubt I’ll go back to just 1. They both have their use.
