AWN+ will be delayed more in my opinion due to the Nike+ app being so buggy and unstable. The Nike+ app on my AW2 is so unreliable and buggy. Sometimes it doesn't even save your runs, plus the fact you get less activity points when doing a Nike+ run.
That's not really good news....

You know, one has hope: Nike is not a software company and, since its strong partnership, I hoped that apple would take a lead (or assist/support) in coding and building a meaningful user interface.

Indeed, I noticed that lately Nike is tweaking their apps quite a bit: one step ahead and two back. Mah... again, just hoping they put their stuff together and pull this off nicely...

At least the potential is there...

I think main reason for release date end of October is in the LACK OF quality of the Nike+ App.....
Corrected your post.:D Sure hope Apple engineers are helping Nike straighten out the mess they made of NRC+ or the Nike Watch could take months or even end up getting canceled.

Is the app really THAT bad?
I tried 3 times. The first time it froze up about ¾ through (had to restart watch), next time it crashed or quite and 3ed time could not get it to start and gave up quickly.

I always carry my iPhone and have been using Nike+ on my iPhone for a long time. Since the update I have had assorted problems with NRC+ iPhone app too.

Ok... now I just have to try it myself to see if it really is that bad! :p

I see that Nike App was updated 27.9. Already. Any improvement?

Today i made a run with Nike+ App on my iPhone. It worked good

Me too. I went on a 30-minute walk with both my series 0 watch and my phone, and it worked fine, other than the music quit playing and I had to restart it manually.

I find I like the audio feedback feature. On the Series 2 watch, that works if I go out for a walk without the phone, correct?

After this latest update Nike will no longer receive updates from HealthKit. After using Workout for a run, I had to manually enter the run in Nike and then my activity app was logging it as a second workout so my minutes were doubled.

I hadn't changed my setup at all. Data used transfer automatically and adding a manual workout didn't make a mess of activity. I have my settings correct.

I ended up going into health and manually deleting duplicate data so my Watch rings were correct

For me: why _not_ get the Nike one? If you're going to get black aluminum anyway... might as well get the cool Nike bands and the exclusive faces.

I have a Series 0 SS... I'm thinking about picking up a Nike+ Series 2 just to have some variety. I'll definitely use the Nike+ more when I'm working out (lighter aluminum, GPS)... and it will be nice to be able to switch it up some.

My thinking as well. I've decided to take up running soon so my thoughts as well. Glad the bands can be switched out as well. It's a really cool sports band but I like my 3rd party leather one too.

Im just weighing ordering a Nike+ Series 2. I have viewed some of the review videos on YouTube and the Nike app on those devices seems very different to the current Nike Run Club app.

Is there anything published by Apple anywhere that states that everything about the Nike + will be the same other than the watch faces & Strap ? or will the Nike app be unique to the Nike+ watch ?

(Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere)

First part of your question -- yes, everything will be the same apart from the straps and Nike-exclusive faces. Also, like the Hermes and old 18k Edition models, it'll have a special color ("Volt", the same neon greenish-yellow as you see in the bands) available for all faces.

Second part -- Hopefully, it's an updated Nike Run Club app. I'll have to watch the hands-on video again because, as a test, the blogger deleted the Nike app from the watch and later got a message to re-download it; I can't remember if it's the NRC app or a different one.

Good news. So now it is 10 days until delivery and no movement in the order yet. Do you know when normally apple charge CC before shipping or how long time before delivery date are products shipped?

If the watches are being stockpiled in the country you are in, they can be overnighted, which means you may not see them ship until the day before delivery. Apple only charges your CC right before they ship, when your order status changes to "preparing for shipment."

Yeah, I have the Nike + but in the end it comes down to the band and the watch faces. The Nike app, I don't use it. I am pretty happy with Apple's workout app for swimming and walking.

Agreed. I have a NIKE watch because I'm better than all the other apple watch wearers. NO NO Just kidding. I needed to share that because that's what my family says about it.

It's the Nike band that makes it better for me. The additional hole sin the band give my arm more breathing ability especially during hard workouts. I would have to apply cremes and ointments to get rid of the rash. Not one occurence wih the Nike band.

Also, the Nike version has made me go back to running and be excited about it. Granted I could have done that with Series 1, but Nike version sealed the deal. Plus I can go back to swimming now too.
