what arrangement is that lol
I am sorry, but, what is there to "lol" about? I have used a 12.9" iPad for almost three years. I know the size difference between the two so I know what 12.9" iPad would have been like, but, since you asked, imagine having your iPad and also your kids' stuffs on that dinky airplane tray.

Last year I took my first flight with my daughter who was about to turn 1 at the time. I could barely let the tray down, let alone have an iPad sitting on it comfortably!

I see, maybe explain it better and I wouldn't need to ask, no kids for me to deal with.

I had the 12.9" for three years (M1) and it was almost always in the keyboard case. Looking back, its kinda the worst of both worlds. It's not as powerful as a laptop in the MKB and it wasn't a great size for a tablet. If you draw a lot then I'd want the 13" version probably.

The 11" is a great tablet and the keyboard case makes it more useful in more scenarios. So I'd probably go 11" if I were to re-buy but after buying an OLED gaming laptop and having it nearly replacing my MBP as well, I don't see myself buying this generation.

If there was a world where I could do all my gaming and power user stuff on an iPad only then I would totally go all in on it. The hardware and overall joy of using an iPad can't be beat. For me it just ends of being more of a complementary device and these days I'm all about simplifying. So for now a laptop and phone is all I really care about.

Even with those black bars, the 13 " iPad is still Much bigger and it is equivalent to 12" laptop 16:9 movies...
The 11 on other hand is only 10.4" watching 16:9 format... (Still bigger than 10.1" android tab though)

However, the rumored 6"9 inch iPhone, is quite funny its also has a Huge Black bars (even worse than 4:3 iPads) on side for watching majority of 16:9 Series on Youtube, its funny that its just equivalent to 5.8" phones with 16:9 aspect ratio almost same as the older iPhone 8 Plus...

Not sure what’s funny about that as the phone certainly calls for a different aspect ratio in order to continue to have a somewhat more portable form factor over a tablet. Unless all our hands have suddenly grown in size, of course.

Do not argue. I had iPad Pro 2020 12.9, than iPad Pro 12.9 M1 and now after 4 years I went finally back to 11” M4 because I pour coffee on M1.
I am writing “finally” because I never get used to cucumber 12.9, I was always reaching for my iPhone Pro Max. Couching was bad, in bed I could not use it, it is only good for siting at the table or during vacation where bigger display was convenient during flights or in hotel rooms but now there are all televisions with Netflix so no iPad needed.

But after going back small - I love tablet again. I can take it whenever I want and I do not need to take big bag with me (I bought special crossbody bag for 12.9 iPad that I do not need now. And I love the portabality and usage again. With the bigger screen 12.9 I everytime has to be careful to not hit the doors, walls etc. I like it because in the past I had iPad Air 2 which was great iPad and when I went bigger I always struggled with some portability issues. And I am the guy who loves everything with big display - I have 65” OLED LG TV, I have 16” M2Max with Apple Studio Display..

I've been an 11" iPad user since my iPad Air 2, and went into the Apple store on Saturday expecting to buy an iPad Pro 11" M4 unit.

Then I picked up the Pro 13" M4. And it felt in my hand about how my 2018 11" iPad Pro felt.

I use mine for work, mainly as a hand-held whiteboard to draw on with the Pencil and project through Apple TV to a classroom. I also read and annotate articles on it as well. As others noted, that extra real-estate is going to come in handy to let me draw in more detail in Goodnotes without needing to Zoom in. Stage manager and multiple windows are now more practical. I've already ordered a folio case with a hand-strap on the back so I can hold it more securely when walking around and lecturing. And that larger Magic Keyboard is a lot easier to type on than the one on my 11" Pro.

Tray tables on an airplane could be a challenge, but that's outweighed by the greater utility from the larger size that I'll enjoy in the classroom far more days of the year.
