Just checking, is your BCM94360CS2 working correctly under Mojave - airdrop, handoff etc?

Yeah, everything seems to work properly.
[doublepost=1551253564][/doublepost]
Did I say something else?
I want to know if the BRCM43224 works natively ander Mohave or no?
Later i will order the card from a more modern Mac, but why not to use this card that in my hand right now?

I don’t think so. That appears to be from a 2008 MacBook. That model doesn’t support Mojave.

Has anyone had problems with the BCM94360CS2 wifi/bt card preventing initial booting on a MacPro 3,1?

I purchased several of these kits on ebay...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/802-11AC-B...390688?hash=item3afea5ef20:g:qnUAAOSw-RhaY2u5

When I can coax the machine to boot, it works perfectly. However, it has a tendency to produce a lit CPU_B error LED with a hung initial boot periodically. When it works, the Bluetooth 4.0 functions perfectly. Three different wifi cards in the same type of adapter produces the same error. If the machine manages to get pass the initial boot to the option boot selector, it always works fine. It is just that initial cold boot step that is dodgy. Interestingly, I have never seen the boot issues occur after an initial successful cold boot when using the restart command from within macOS, Windows 10 and Linux. The machine would work fine for weeks on end until I had a power outage forcing a cold boot again.

So I assume there are two possibilities. The first is that this particular design of adapter card is flawed and causing some boot issue. The second would be that the power draw of the combo wifi/bt card is exceeding the 11 year motherboards power output for the miniPCIe. A stock n-wireless card with the stock bluetooth 2.0 card never has any boot issues.

I looked at the osxwifi adapter card as an alternative but, as far as I can tell, they don't actually use the usb two pin connector on the Mac Pro 2008. The fact that I have been able to use the BCM94360CS2's bluetooth shows that the miniPCIe slot has usb support. Since they don't seem provide the usb cable for the MacPro 2008, I assume osxwifi thinks that the usb through miniPCIe is usable on that model.

The only other alternative adapter card that I have found is...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-PCI-E...303760?hash=item362c781f10:g:t4QAAOSwofxUbzDF

which seems to mimic the design of the oswifi one.

Since asked your question on the Mac Pro forum, you probably won't get an answer, you should ask on the Mojave Unsupported thread, not here.

For some reason my Mac Pro wifi card doesn't not seem to be recognized.

Got the same problem but with a BCM94360MC. It's strange because under mojave the card is not reconized, but under High Sierra (on the same machine, just different partition) everything is working fine. Did apple drop support for this card ?

Has anyone else experienced the Atheros 9380 AR5BXB112 in Mojave ONLY finding 5GHz signals and not any 2.4GHz signals ??
In a Mac Pro 4,1 > 5,1 with all 3 antennas connected.

Hello, expect to confirm that this card will be compatible with my Mac Pro 4.1> 5.1 under Mojave 10.14.6 (and it will be the last time).

Wifi card

Does this give access to Airdrop and Airplay?
Have you already ordered from this seller?
Thank you

BCM94322MC is supported by Mojave and works partially for AirDrop. It work between Macs, but not with iOS devices that rely with BT4.0 for AirDrop. You will need a newer card, like BCM94360CD, for AirDrop between MP5,1 and iOS devices.

AirPlay for video is not supported with MP5,1, it needs Intel QuickSync support that Mac Pro Xeons do not have. For audio it works.

You should research more about this topic, lots of newer macOS resources depends on multiple technologies and are usually blocked with MP5,1.

For example, AirPlay for video, Handoff, Continuity, Watch unlock and Sidecar are all blocked with MP5,1 and need hardware upgrades and software patching.

Today, Sidecar and AirPlay for Video can't work even with hardware upgrades. AirPlay for video needs Intel QuickSync video encoding and SideCar needs HEVC hardware encoding support, both can't be made to work with MP5,1. At least not yet.

Works until 10.13.6, Apple removed support from Mojave.

New here. hoping you guys can help me out. Updated my Mac Pro 3,1 to Mojave. WIFI is not recognized now..."WIFI: No hardware installed". I have pci168c,30 which had worked on my last upgrade to High Sierra just fine. Which wifi card should I be getting?

Also, secondary monitor not working after update to Mojave.... I did replace video card to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 based on what I had read but monitor is black... no image.

Used Dosdude Mojave patcher/instructions.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks all.

Buy an Apple BCM94322MC, same card as 2012 Mac Pro and a lot of other Macs of the same era, it’s around $12 on eBay. 3rd party cards or fake cards don’t work with 5GHz.

All NVIDIA GTX 680 that follow the reference model, eVGA GTX 680 Mac Edition, works all ports with Mojave native drivers. Cards that differ, don’t.

Just checked and that is what I got Part # 02G-P4-3682-KR
Mine works fine both DVI and HDMI port, but with a fully supported MP5,1.

You should test your cables and ask directly on Mojave unsupported thread, you won't get answers here.

Looking for the same setup. If anyone has recently ordered a BCM94360CD for Wifi and Airdrop, can you point me to an economical and reliable seller link please? Little hard to tell which vendors selling cards v. adapters. v. both or if extra antennas, etc are needed with order. Goal is to get n or ac wifi and ideally Airdrop, but don't need Handoff or Continuity.

I'd like to set the larger HDs in my 3.33 six core 5,1 cMP as backups to other laptops on my home network. Tried the Apple Support article to set file sharing in Prefs, Advanced..., and designate a disk, but it doesn't appear on the laptops when I want to 'select disk' for TM. Do I have to install the above WiFi card for to do this? Or is there another network way to do this (the cMP is wired to modem in corner of basement, laptops run off wifi from router on other side of house).

Lastly on the GPU, I've reviewed the Mojave upgrade wiki to replace my Radeon 5870, but what is the most quiet card? I've seen reviews of the RX580 as near silent, but I don't need that much oomph and looking for an economical option quieter than the 5870. Thanks for any help!

Me again...but struggling to make this work... 2nd screen still not working (usingeVGA GTX 680 Mac edition). Followed advise from someone else to purchase a DisplayPort to DVI-D Adapter - 1920x1200 which didn't change things; DELL screen still does dark right after powering machine on (giving message "Entering Power Save Mode").
I checked connections and card and all seems fine...
Latest recommendation is to use "MutliBeas" and change my (3,1) definition to either 4,1 or 5,1.. so that's where I'm at... does it make sense to do this? What about updating to Catalina? - currently on Mojave.

P.S. Thank you for the advice/info on the WIFI card update; worked like a charm.

I can't help your with your dual monitor setup. This is probably an adverse effect of making MP3,1 work with Mojave, since it works fine with my Mojave supported MP5,1 and my dual monitor setup.

If anyone knows about a solution for this problem it will be on Mojave unsupported thread:

I also have a Dell on my 5,1. You might have to change the monitor settings from the monitor's settings buttons. I recall having similar trouble when setting mine up, especially when switching between video types for when I connected my Win laptop with a different video cable (plugged into the monitor side-by-side with the 2nd cable). Using the buttons on the side of the monitor, select 'Input' to get to how the monitor detects what type of video/cable you have attached. You can experiment with specifically changing the setting to the adapter type you have, rather than leaving on 'auto detect'. Or set to 'auto' and see if that works better.

Mine is a Broadcom BCM94352HMB WiFi - "IOName" = "pci14e4,43a0"

Works including Watch unlock

I also want to buy this card to upgrade my imac2010 27'. It seems that this card doesn't need any additional hardware modification, right? How to modify the driver of this card to make WiFi, Bluetooth and airdrop work normally?
