I set my 12 pro on an anker wireless charger every night without issue. The other wireless chargers we have in the house work just fine as well. None of that various cases my wife and I have had on ours have caused issues either.

I have a RAVPower wireless charger that works fine with a "standard" medium case on my 12 Pro Max but it charges very slowly with a heavy Otterbox Defender case on it.

I have this problem with my iPhone 12 Pro with or without a case. I thought my charger was at fault until I did some searching online. It seems there's a known problem with the 12 series and Qi chargers. As a few people in that thread reported, rebooting the phone fixes the issue for awhile, but it always returns. I hope this means Apple can provide a fix in an iOS update.

I just upgraded from an XS to a 12, and I didn't realize this was an issue until my Choetech charging pad won't charge my new phone. I contacted apple support and they wanted me to run diagnostics on it, so I am waiting to hear back from them. I doubt it is a hardware issue but we shall see.

Hi @Jessica08. As in my post above, I and other iPhone 12 series users have found that a reboot fixes the problem for a few days at a time. Try that until Apple comes up with a revision.

Does anyone have a list of chargers that DO work with the iPhone 12? I prefer one that lets you use the factory watch charger cable instead of a built in one. (Most of the built in watch chargers start/stop/erratically charge the Watch gen 6).

So far, after buying 11 different (and returning them) 3 in 1 chargers from Amazon, this is the ONLY one I found that will reliably charge the iPhone 12 Pro Max in a Mous case, and will charge my Airpods, AND will charge my Apple Watch series 6 reliably (it use you actual Apple watch factory charger snapped into the case).

It is a cheap feeling charger, and not the most pleasent to look at. That said, it just works, and it's the ONLY one I have found that will work with all 3 of my devices. I have found some that would work with the iPhone 12 Pro Max, but then not charge the watch. I have found some that charge my watch, but not my iPhone, and found one that did great on those, but wouldn't charge the AirPods (but would work with Airpod Pro's). If someone has a nicer one they find that work with all three, PLEASE let us know. I wish we had a new thread to list the known working chargers.

My opinion to everyone would be to buy MagSafe 1st/3rd party only for the 12 series.
Cheapest would be a $15stand and $40 magsafe.
trying to win lottery is not worth the headache over another $50 bucks

I tried the magsafe, and it doesn't seem to stick to most cases unless you spend the money on a crappy magsafe friendly case. I like my Mous case.

I have a Choetech charger. As I wrote previously, it works for awhile but fails over time. I've been keeping track of this, and the failure is manifest as tighter requirements for positioning the phone on the charger, to the point where moving it just a bit stops the charging. But a reboot always fixes it, for me at least.

I have this Samsung folding wireless charger which works properly with my 12 mini if I lay it flat on the charger. But with the charger unfolded to upright position the 12 mini does not charge properly, probably because the phone is too small so the coils are not aligned properly. My X used to charge properly upright. Not sure whether the larger 12 series phones will work in the upright position.

So nomad regular base station, not pro one, does not work?
I heard a lot of times that it works, so I’m confused?

I have an old Mophie pad that works fine, too. It’s not round, but rectangular; it came with the Mophie battery case, which was wirelessly chargeable, I purchased (from Apple) for my iPhone 6S Plus.

Well these from Choetech works perfectly.

----------(reposting as I posted in the case thread by accident)----------
Just bought a Choetech MagSafe wireless charger for my iPhone 12 Mini. Great value (~$30 or less) when it comes with the power adapter and works great, no issues. Loving it so far, definitely a worthy alternative to Apple's version.

Hey! Does anyone use a slicecharge pro for their iPhone 12 used with an apple magnetic case?
On my device, it tends to not charge my phone when I place it close to the side where there is the apple watch charger, but the other side works completely fine. I am having this behavior when I have the case on, and it works perfectly fine with the case off.
I know this is old, but I just found this thread. Was about to throw away my old SliceCharge pad. It worked great with my iPhone 11 Pro, but useless with iPhone 13 Pro and a 12 mini. Not sure if it's the case or not. They don't charge reliably at all. Charge a while then stop. Last night I tried without case on and after an hour my 13 Pro was too warm for my comfort.

I see they have several updates to the product, but unlike Nomad, I doubt they would have any firmware update. Nomad really is a good company....
