Not skinned at all. Stock .. JB, KK .. Looks all the same. Seems like not many people here checked the volume settings .... Ever :)

Not sure if something was lost in translation but: As Lloyd already addressed above, the first screenshot is definitely touchwiz, Samsung's own (skinned) version of Android. The screenshot I posted is from an AOSP ROM called SlimKat.

So I just installed the Chrome update which is supposed to introduce Material Design to the app. It doesn't look so great.

The top bar is much wider which feels unnecessary and leaves less room for content below it. The multi tab view looks very cartoony, and the 'plus' symbol for new tabs is so lofi it looks like a.graphics bug. (It also doesn't have a reload symbol but that I guess has to be an oversight rather than a design choice.) Also the animation for the transition to multi tab view is kind of annoyingly slow (it's not lag).

I saw this when I tried a Note 3 in a store today but was hoping it was some kind of Samsung shenanigans for their phones only. :( If these design cues are indicative of the rest of the Android L look then if anything it will push me towards iOS rather than keep me on Android.
